This is my second Lucid mattress. Good quality and very comfortable. Good sleeping!

If you get back ache when you get up in the morning, it's time to change the mattress. Indeed, my old mattress had a visible depression in the middle, and was not supporting my back. In addition to this, my worn out knees felt pain, for the mattress is bowed up, when my body weight is placed on it. Since there is not much cartilage left in my knees, this bowed up situation puts undue pressure on the knee joints. Too often I wake up in pain in the middle of the night and gingerly shift the position. If this resonates with you, then you might want to consider this mattress in the 'firm' rating. It's a memory foam, and it hugs your body contour. The whole body, that is every part of the body that is in contact with the mattress, is supported. Even though it is rated "firm," it does not feel hard; it is actually soft--it will readily give to the weight of your body--but it will hold your body up, without being plush. Plush is bad for your back. Your body is not sinking into the mattress. In this sense, it is 'firm.' I slept on it the first night, and I feel already the difference: my back hurts less. I could straighten up, without the great pain I used to feel. I think it will get better and better. So worth the money I paid for it. I will give 5 stars, after I slept on it for a week. For now it is 4 stars. After One Week report: I must say, I am glad I bought this mattress. The morning after the first night of sleep on this mattress, my back hurt less--about one half? As I slept on the mattress, the back pain significantly diminished. After 7 nights of sleep, the back pain is maybe 1/5 of what it was before. I now can get up and straighten myself without difficulty. Good stuff!

My father needed a new mattress. I set this up for him super easy. He finds the mattress very comfortable and the height is nice for him to get in and put of bed easily

I'll give it a 4. Have had it a few months now and it was just a little too firm for my liking so I bought a 3 inch mattress topper for it. Much better! All in all good mattress for the price.

This mattress fits the Freightliner Cascadia perfectly. Very comfortable. Great firmness. 6" thickness works well with Murphy bed. 8" should work too. This is just what I was looking for.

EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. I HAVE A ROLLAWAY BED USED FOR GUESTS WITH A REGULAR MATRESS THAT I THREW OUT AND REPLACED WITH THIS MEMORY FOAM MATRESS. EVERYONE USING IT LOVED THE MATTRESS. SO PLEASED WITH MY DECISION. WOULD RECOMMEND.

Love Love Love this this mattress. It is definitely leaning more to the firm than medium. But this i why I love it. Second purchase of the Lucid mattress. Had tried Zinus medium firm and it was awful. Sticking with Lucid.

If the person that is going to be sleeping on this mattress is at all a “hot natured” or can’t sleep when they’re warm or hot at all, then DO NOT BUY. I am giving this one star for the sheer fact that this company describes in writing, several times, how this mattress for several reasons, although foam - is able to keep your temperature regulated and won’t make the sleeper hot like most foam mattresses because of their special blah blah etc. In fact, THE ONE AND ONLY “Factor” that made this mattress the “winner” and was what I purchased (instead of the others I was comparing against... I’m a big “research before you buy” person and wanted to find “THE PERFECT” first mattresses for my 3 year old twin boys big boy beds I had bought) WAS the fact that the write up on this mattress talks several times as if it’s that amazing, how it is not going to sleep hot. One of my boys is very sensitive to heat and if he gets hot while sleeping, he wakes up and it’s a whole thing. Plus, I already have a struggle in the summers with their bedroom being upstairs and if I don’t want to pay a million dollars a month here in Texas to make their bedroom 65 degrees, then I needed a mattress that wouldn’t create more of a heat issue at least. I knew foam mattresses typically have a reputation for holding in your body heat so I wasn’t planning on even considering one when trying to make my decision. But when I read up on the types of mattresses their are and the pros and cons of each (spring, foam, etc) I concluded that I didn’t want a spring (even though probably coolest temp wise) because my toddlers are already going to jump like wild banshees on their bed no matter what, so I didn’t want to improve their trampoline experience and help them gain more air and increase the odds of injury LOL. So I really liked the fact that foam wouldn’t allow much “bounce” for them, would be quieter if they do, and loved the 6 inch option of this mattress. So when it talked about not making you hot due to all this and that, I was sold. I will say everything else about this mattress is wonderful including how amazingly comfortable it is and only being 6 inches. In fact, I prefer it (comfort wise) to my own ridiculously expensive mattress I have on my bed lol. But it makes me SWEAT so I can’t use it. Of course it’s a problem for my sons too like I was trying to avoid. I even bought “cooling” mattress covers and even purchased thinner, more breathable comforters and sheets for them hoping I could make it work. But unfortunately nothing helped. I had to buy 2 of everything since I have twins so unfortunately all that extra money spent to try and “fix” this could have gone to buying those “guaranteed cooler” but of course more expensive, mattresses i didn’t end up getting. Like I said in the beginning though... it gets 1 star because I feel like they aren’t being completely honest with buyers by advertising advertising these as mattresses that won’t make you hot and regulate temperature. I am now having to buy another set of 2 new, full size mattresses so that my children can sleep and that is A TON of money that didn’t have to be wasted I feel like. But hey. If sleeping hot doesn’t bother you or who you are having use it, then it is a GREAT mattress otherwise.

Mattresses are so subjective, so reviews are a bit pointless when it comes to comfort. But I'll just document my experience going from an old ikea coil spring mattress to one of these modern ones. It came rolled up and folded in half in a cardboard box which kind of concerned me as being folded in half seemed like it could affect optimal inflation due to the stark bend down the middle. This turned out to not be an issue at all and it fully inflated with no issues. I let it inflate for about fourteen hours and it seemed ready to sleep on by then. The first night was a bit odd as I'm used to a more bouncy kind of mattress which changes the feel when you walk on it on your knees, roll and reposition, sit on the edge with your feet on the floor, etc. It felt like I was laying on a bed of playdough. It just felt odd at first. I woke up well rested but didn't really feel like it was that comfortable, but I realized after a few nights that I just wasn't used to it. The benefit of this kind of bed is the memory foam gives your body support everywhere so you're not using muscles to stay in any position as the mattress fills in all the space around you and holds you in place. It's subtle though so you don't realize it at first. This helps you sleep better because your body will be totally relaxed when you lay on it. After about four nights I really started to notice less stiffness and soreness in my back and hips that I would have for the first hour or so after waking up from my old mattress. Also, unlike my old mattress, there's no "sweet spot" on the bed that I need to be in. Anywhere I lay on this mattress is supported and comfortable. Overall I am very impressed by this mattress and I look forward to getting nice comfortable sleep for the next several years. Highly recommended.

Reviews are saying its firm. But its still soft. I would rate it only 5/10 or 6/10 firmness. Disappointed

Back pain reduced by ALOT. Pair this with one of those crazy foam cervical support pillows and most of your problems are solved. I recommend a waterproof mattress cover as well, and you’re golden.
