I really enjoyed this kit! The materials were easy to work and it was a great first time basket. My only criticism is that the instructions doesn't go over technique, just the steps that weren't always the best detailed. The additional videos also lacked instruction on two aspects I wasn't sure of (how to correctly force the shape of the basket at the start of bringing the walls up and finishing off the top of the basket when the rim has finished, I made due and figured it out) but overall still super worth it! I am a naturally crafty person so take that into account

My daughter has already done several of the beginner level kits. She wanted another that was a bit bigger and had a handle. This was a Christmas gift and she has worked on it a bit and it is looking fantastic. Instructions are clear, and materials included. Turning into a great basket that will be useful, and she is honing her skills in basket weaving.

Overall, the instructions were pretty good. Considering you just start with a bunch of twine, I’m impressed with what I ended up with. I echo what other reviewers said- it ends up being not quite enough material but I made do. The end product is imperfect but I attribute that to my amateur skills. I think it was a pretty good activity. I would note that it did take many hours of rote weaving and took some pretty intense grip strength so I’d personally be wary of doing it with kids.

I've been watching Naked and Afraid (lol) and a lot of the participants had basic basket weaving knowledge which made me want to give it a try. This product has easy to comprehend instructions and when I had questions, I referred to the sellers YouTube page (@ found on instruction pamphlet) where they walk you through the steps! My kit came with more than enough materials for the project as well. My basket is a bit uneven (I messed up some of the weaving) but still super stable regardless! Awesome kit and inspired to keep practicing

I have made several Wildwoods Craft Kits baskets, and this is the first one where I felt there was insufficient materials provided. I following the instructions very closely and used a ruler to confirm that my weaving was tight enough, but I still ran out of thin weaving material. If you buy this kit, ignore where it says to make the open weave 1/4" apart and instead make it about 1/2" apart. Other than that, this is a great kit and a fun and useful basket design to make.

Extremely difficult if this is your first attempt at basket weaving. The directions are horrendous. I did receive the product on time and the quality seems good.

UPDATE: I reached out on FB and found that the owner of the shop is wonderful and lovely. They're doing it all on their own so they said they'd send some more out today for me. Very excited. They were so quick to reply and take care of it. I'll be buying more kits for sure! Oh! And the smaller fiber rush is 1/16" and you can buy it on their website. Original review: This was my first twining basket. I actually was waiting so long to have a few extra bucks for this kit because I thought it would be easier to learn with a kit. But then I ran out of the thinner fiber like others have said. It may have a bigger bottom? But it is measuring under 4" and they said to keep going for 5". So I thought I would just buy some more somewhere and forget about it but no where is it listed what exactly it is so I could even order more. That said, it's an overall easy kit. I'm just so frustrated that I waited so long for this and can't finish it now.... Will update if customer service is helpful.
