I took up needle felting a couple of weeks ago because I wanted something to pass the time and possibly to make gifts. I bought this little kit to see whether I enjoy it.It's been brilliant and worth every penny. There is not a huge amount of wool but definitely enough to add colour to what I've been learning. Having everything I needed in 1 box was great to see if I could do felting and I'm hooked. Everything else I need to make stuff is also available from amazon so I'm happy.

Was gifted this kit and generally its a great starter kit. instructions are not great, suggest a good book as an addition. AND throw away the needles!! buy some decent ones! I tried them and decided needle felting wasn't for me. did a local workshop, discovered decent needles (Heidifeathers or decent felting supplier) and now loving the hobby. I am grateful for the variety of colours as often you only need a small amount of a given colour for a project. Useful little box to keep bits in so have purchased another kit as gift for a friend ... BUT bought her a decent set of mixed needles elsewhere ;-)

Just right for my granddaughter

I bought this as a gift for my step-mum for Christmas and whilst I think the kit is fantastic, the roving isn't 'wool', it's synthetic. As a textiles specialist with over 10 years experience working with natural fibres, even before I did a fibres test, I could tell this wasn't wool.For the eager felter, real wool is always preferable and nicer to work with so disappointed I didn't get what I paid for.For you information, wool is a fibre and roving is the material. Wool is not the name of a style of material but a raw fibre from a woolen animal such as a sheep.Please change the material to synthetic so others aren't likewise deceived.

You get loads for the moneyThe box is a bit cheap doesn't shut very wellAnd would have liked the booklet to be a bit more informativeBut the quality of the equipment is fab and I've managed to make a butterfly with it so far
