Review: great, clear, comprehensive - I own 2 bookshelves of music books and scores and have been doing music seriously for 40 years, though I'm newer to guitar and just transitioning from beginner to intermediate. This is the best guitar chords book I've ever seen and one of the best instrumental method books I've ever seen. Why? It is so clear what the chords are, where they are, how they are related, and why the chord voicings are this way on guitar. If you focus on and really learn the chords noted in this book, your guitar playing will advance greatly. It DOES take work and patient practice. For example, it has taken me about 6 months to get Drop3 voicings on string set 6432 to really sit in my hand and my ear. I am glad this book finally has me understanding main guitar chords and gives me a clear set of materials to work through. Review: Very through - It's almost too thorough. This book has a questionable intro where it explores every permutation of every inversion of the six most common jazz chord types before it admits that only four categories are actually practical to play on the guitar. Other than that, this is a good reference book for ideas to get the most out of your standard chord voicings. This book does assume you know the basics of music theory and jumps right into the subject matter. There is one pretty glaring error on the intro pages to chapters 9 & 10 (pp.122, 135) where the numbers of the chord degrees are switched around. (They should be 1537. 3751. 5173, 7315.) You can verify this by checking the chord diagrams later in each section, which are correct. Great book!

Guitar Chord Masterpiece
whoa! I've been playing a long time. This book is on the lines of Ted Greene's Chord Chemistry. Be prepared to play various drop chords upon and down the neck. Be prepared to learn theory. More importantly, be prepared to be inspired with new ideas. Cosley worked hard on this and it shows.

The clearest path I've found to understanding drop voicing for guitar
This book is a fantastic addition to my music library as my go-to book for a distilled understanding of drop voicing while providing complete thoughts about how it applies to chord progressions, melody, etc. It's continued to lead me down a path of fuller understanding of fretboard harmony as it clearly bridges the gap between theory and pragmatic music making, which I find is a rare talent in the music teaching world. One thing I particularly appreciate is the use of notation, tablature, and fretboard diagrams throughout the book, each of which greatly increase comprehension depending on what I'm specifically trying to study when I pick up the book. It' currently a permanent part of my music stand.

Drop 2 & 3 voicings complet mais pas pratique
Application rapide et pratique d'harmonie. Mais le livre est trop chargé d'information, pas pratique

Very in depth
This is not a superficial book...people interested in the topic can find a lot of information/inspiration. I would have liked the chord diagrams to have fret numbers for easy use.
