Sharp edges, definitely a cheaper product than advertised. Very thin, black metal. Goes well w decor at the cottage though.

I wasn't super impressed with this. The coating is a brownish, rusty color. Even though it was well-packed, the trees have a tendency to get bent, and they make it a pain to get the candles in and out. The main reason I returned it is that the channel has four tealight-sized cups inside. My candles were too big for the cups. (I'm super picky about candles--I use battery operated and I shop around to find the brightest, most realistic and longest-lasting, and I don't want to have to pick up a crappy set just to use with this.)That isn't to say that someone else wouldn't like this holder, in the right setting. I wanted to put it on my mantel, but it just looked ho-hum up there.

I cannot say too much about this item because before I could even put tea lights in it, the rough metal edgesof this item poked and nearly cut my fingers. It is not made well. Flimsy, unfinished edges make it a hazard to have aroundthe house and I was too afraid to give it as a gift to my aging parent. Also it is very large, make sure you take note of that.
