Prestige Sphygmomanometer & Stethoscope Kit with Matching Black Carrying Case

Absolutely adorable. I thought I was getting a green stethoscope and that’s what I expected but I got a hot pink color and I am so excited because I love pink! I’m still in school training as a Medical Assistant so I will definitely be able utilize this for training and on the field. So pretty and durable. I can hear clearly and I got it for a cheaper price I’m so glad I ordered it when I did! It’s perfect and pink!

I am a R.N. and bought it to take b/p readings of my loved ones at my home. It is very nice. It is well made. The gauge can even be easily taken off the cuff and held closer if either the person taking the b/p reading or the person having it done can easily hold it and watch the dial as it moves. The carrying case is a bonus. The stethoscope is well constructed and has the professional head on it which allows it to be readily rotated if the nurse wants to auscultate the lungs of an infant or small child. There are markings on the cuff that show the novice how and where to place the cuff in relation to the person's artery-depending upon which arm is being used for the reading. This product will last for years and is very well made. I would recommend this for any person who is wanting to take accurate b/p readings. As a side note: When taking a person's b/p they should always be sitting with their back against the chair, their feet firmly on the floor and NEVER have their legs crossed at the knee or ankles during the procedure. They should also be sitting in the chair for several minutes to allow the body to adjust so that the readings are accurate. Never should the person be talking, or have their arm unsupported during a b/p measurement. Additionally-the person taking the b/p should not be distracted and once the cuff has been pumped up to around 200 and the bulb release has been started-NEVER ever re-pump. It would be better to release all the air out of the cuff, wait a couple of minutes, and start over. The machines are only as accurate as the person using it and the person having it done.

Arrived on time & works fine

This blood pressure measurement instrument seems to be very good quality, but if you aren't a medical person used to using this instrument, you will need to practice to be comfortable using it accurately. The instructions included are fairly straight forward, but I looked online for more information including pictures or videos to make sure I understood exactly how to use it. The instruments work well. The stethoscope is sturdy and sounds are produced very clearly. Either side of the diaphragm can be used simply by turning it to the side the shows a black dot. The earpieces, however, are rather tight, even after trying to loosen them by stretching them as advised in the instructions. It hurts to keep them in as long as it takes to get a reading, which isn't very long once you get the hang of it. I do wish they could be loosened more without damaging the scope, but other than that, it works very well. The bulb is easy to use to inflate the cuff, even for my arthritic hands, and only needs a few good pumps to raise the gauge to the correct level. The valve on the bulb is also fairly easy to control as it's loosened to allow the needle to drop slowly. The gauge is easy to read, but I do wish it was a little larger to make it easier to read at a standing distance from the gauge. Using reading glasses does help with that, though. This comes with a nice soft case to hold the instruments when not in use and keep them clean and safe from accidental damage. Since this is the first one of these I've ever used, I can't compare it to others. However, I have been happy with the accuracy, ease of use and quality of the items in this kit. Just wish the earpieces on the stethoscope weren't so tight and painful in the ears.

Sturdy, still usable up to now.

When looking for a good quality stethoscope and blood pressure combination kit to have in my car while on the road, I looked no further than Prestige to offer what I needed. Prestige Medical has been in business for many years and has always come to the table with quality products at an exceptional price. I have used many of their supplies and find that of all the makers of the Sprague-Rappaport style stethoscope, they definitely have a good handle on how to build a quality, cost-effective product. Although I do not use this stethoscope while at work, it is made of good material and one should easily be able to auscultate a BP with this, as well as perform an assessment of cardiac and respiratory sounds. When my stethoscope (which was given to me as a present in nursing school...Littmann Cardiology III) craps out in time, I will certainly look to Prestige for my next stethoscope. I give it 3 stars because it really is "just ok". There are obviously way better ones out there but for my little CNA course it did the job. I like that it comes with a pediatric bell. I used it a lot going through my course but once I finished our hospital had marginally better automatic ones. I personally still use it whenever I have a patient who requires manual BPs and it tends to give quite accurate readings. Overall its a nice little kit but it's not for serious use, the patients I use it on are not highly acute patients so I don't really mind but if you're looking for something more substantial you are going to be spending a bit more for a better stethoscope.

Défaut de fabrication, une fuite ne permet malheureusement pas d’avoir un résultat correct. Par contre en tant que médecin urgentiste je confirme que le produit est de bonne qualité et que nous pensons néanmoins de d’ôter l’ensemble de nos services de leurs produits !!!

good for its price. but you can definitely feel that it has cheap quality. if you simply want to measure BP occasionally at home, don't spend more money on something else. it does the job.
