The food itself is fine, very fresh
The food itself is fine, very fresh. The description is deceptive, though. This size of pellet is tiny, much smaller than even my blue crowned conure prefers. If I'd looked closer at the actual size, I would not have bought it. When I saw it was for greys and cockatoos, I assumed it was the 3/8" size I usually buy. My bird prefers a chunky pellet he can hold and eat. For now, I'm mixing it in with his Harrison's pellets, but he doesn't eat much of it because it's so small. This stuff is pricey, so I'm disappointed that I didn't realize how small it was until I opened it.

Does your bird like Zeigler's ?
My bird loves this food and it is very difficult to find it on the web. Kudos to Amazon for making it so accessible. I hope they will continue to make this product available.

My African Grey parrot used to love Zeigler's pellets
My African Grey parrot used to love Zeigler's pellets, so after many years without it, I ordered it on Amazon. My first mistake was in ordering the smaller pellet size rather than the larger that he had before. He won't eat this. :( Whether it's the size or he doesn't like pellets anymore, I don't know. I may try ordering the larger pellet before I dismiss this product, but I would give it a try for your bird.

Good bird food, photo misleading
Zeigler is one of my go-to pellet brands (I have a dusky conure). The photo of this product is misleading however, as it is not the small sized cardboard tube-like container pictured, but a large plastic non-resealable bag. On the plus side I got much more quantity than I was expecting (yeah I know, I'm not good at understanding volume/weight measurements on ads), but I did have to rebag it in two jumbo freezer ziplock bags.
