Kirkland Signature Extra Strength Glucosamine HCI 1500mg, With MSM 1500 mg, 375-Count Tablets

I discovered the benefits of glucosamine and chondroitin, (GC) years ago when arthritis in my knees was making pain a daily occurrence. Pain killers and other forms of arthritis formulas had minimal success, or at least just gave me very temporary relief. I started out using name brands of GC like Osteo Biflex or Move Free, but quickly realized that you could do much better price wise by sticking with store or generic brands. I have never bought GC of any kind online before, since it seems that GC products of all strengths and kinds go on sale on a two for one basis all the time. Even with Amazons free shipping and savings on sales tax it was never worth it. Then I discovered this Kirkland brand that beats all the two for one deals locally here. Anyone that is familiar with GC knows that there are all different kinds, (making it a real pain to choose at first). There is regular, double and triple strength, and GC with MSN, another compound proven to be effective for arthritic pain. It's easy to assume with no other real knowledge of this stuff that the triple strength GC with MSN has to be giving you all that there is in one of these formulas, and up till recently that was all I took. I decided to try this Kirkland brand with the potent dose of glucosamine and MSN in place of the chondroitin strictly based on the price of it. Even with the two for one store brand deals thrown in this formula is the best deal around for the number you get and the dosage. Even though I was reluctant to try this because of the absence of chondroitin, I am happy to report that I have noticed no difference whatsoever in using the Kirkland formula. Its been some time indeed since I have felt any pain in my knees from arthritis thanks to using some form of GC, so any return of pain would have signaled to me that this formula minus the chondroitin was not up to par with the rest. But that has not been the case at all. This Kirkland blend with the hefty dose of both glucosamine and MSN is working very well on both my pain and my wallet. I plan on sticking to it for as long as it continues to be effective, and at a bargain price... In conclusion, if you already take some form of GC and MSN, or any combo/strength thereof, I would suggest trying this blend if money is an object, like it is with most of us. I am having great continued success with this Kirkland brand as I have all along with others. And one last thing, some other reviewers here have made it a point to make it understood that you need to take 2 tablets to reach the total dosage advertised. Personally I have never taken any brand of GC that didn't require a two tablet dose daily to get what they promise. The Kirkland product is no different in that sense. I suggest trying this blend and judging it strictly on the merits of how it works for you. For as a bargain, its certainly one of the best around, if not the very best....

I watched a local news report where they tested several joint supplements. Of the ones they tested; only Kirkland had the listed dosage, no dangerous ingredients and was absorbed by the body correctly. I read the various reviews hered at Amazon and decided to try it. I am 53, and have daily, aching pain in my shoulders, my left the most, my left elbow and most fingers on both hands. I have been taking the maximum recommended dosage of Aleve daily before I tried this supplement. All I can say is WOW! I took one pill at 10am, ate my lunch at 10:30am, then took a second pill. Yes, these are big pills, but I got them down with little effort. I left for work at 12:20pm, almost 2 hours after I took the pills. I first noticed my elbow no longer hurt. Before, I could not pick up a cup of coffee with out pain in my left elbow, going down towards my wrist. This was gone. I also noticed my left shoulder did not hurt while holding the steering wheel. normally, just holding onto the wheel would cause it to ache. I finished work at 11:30 pm, and was still feeling good, I could feel a dull ache coming back into my left shoulder. I took an Aleve and went to bed, best sleep I have had in a long long time. Next day, I took one pill with breakfast and decided to try the second pill with supper. This did not work too good. Yes, the pain was greatly relieved, but, it was still there. Next day, I took both pills with my lunch and felt great up until around midnight, where I decided to take another Aleve to sleep. I guess I should state that sleeping causes both my shoulders to ache unbearably. But now with this supplement and a nightly Aleve, I can really sleep. Also, I can say do NOT take these on an empty stomach. I have to take these right after eating a full meal. If I do not, I feel them in my stomach and feel somewhat nauseous Yesterday, I again took this supplement, but forgot to take my Aleve, and still slept better than I have in months!

My doctor told me to try glucosamine and condroitin for my sever ankle pain - but just give it a shot. I tried cortisone injections w/ some help, and physical therapy - deep warm water therapy pool w/ some relief there too. But still I had to use a lot of anti-inflammatory meds. Anyway, while trying the glucosamine and condroitin combination in OTC max dosages for a year as suggested by my doc,I was ready to quit using it. Then I discovered this MSM combination from Kirkland, almost by accident. My family doctor suggested trying acetaminophen (Tylenol) with the anti-inflammatory medication and that helped a whole lot too. I could walk a fairly normally in the proper shoes. But I gotta say, when I also switched to this Kirkland MSM/glucosamine stuff, after about 90 days - my doc said it might take that long to kick in - wow!! I was impressed. All of a sudden I can walk a lot easier, and my sleep is pain free for a change after years of waking up in the middle of the night wanting to scream sometimes. I really think the MSM is doing as much good as the anti-inflammatory meds with the acetaminophen, maybe even more so - the difference after 90 days on the MSM-glucosamine combo-formula from Kirkland has made a dramatic difference. I really couldn't believe it at first and told myself it was something else. Of course it's not the MSM alone, Ithink, but in conjunction with glucosamine, and my other medications. Well, damned if I'm not doing a lot better now. I can bike ride without pain (for five - ten miles or more) and I might try taking up tap dancing or square dancing. :) Being able to walk okay again and being agile again makes a huge difference in everything I do. The only drawback is this suff makes me fart a little, and if I'm eating a lot of fruit, good-god watch out! ..haha.. It does something to the sulfur content within you body which might explain that part of it. Anyhow it's worth a shot, but give it 90 days to take effect; and after that another 15 - 30 days to really get the body to working at lubricating all your joints properly.
