Got a bigger size based on sizing reviews and it is too big. Should have gone a size smaller.

I have mixed feelings about this. I ordered an XL which seemed appropriate per the chart for my body weight/size. It was very flattering on my body but I simply could not manage to cover my chest with it. I don’t know if it’s user error, but it was impossible for me to figure out how to get the dress to work any other way than the first displayed image. However: it is incredibly lightweight, very flattering, and not sheer so I felt covered when I needed to. All in all, I think my concerns are user error and this is a great piece.

What can I say? I'm a fat old lady who foolishly thought this thing would be an easy cover-up to throw on in order to spare the general public from the wonders of my ample booty as I walk to and from the beach. Boy was I wrong! What I did do, however, was provide hours (,well, minutes) of entertainment while I attempted to put this thing on in a way that actually covered anything. Honestly, I laughed so hard the first time I tried to wear this, that I could hardly breathe!Once I sorta figured it out, I discovered how intensely user (wearer) unfriendly it is. With every attempt to bend over to get a towel, or to pick up anything from the beach, the straps fell off my arms, making me very glad I still had my bathing suit on, and causing me to think that perhaps I was still wearing it wrong. Try as I may, I can not get the straps to stay on my shoulders, so, the thing has been retired to my pile of mistake purchases.It is very long. I'm a tall woman, and I was stepping on the hem, possibly because I never figured out how to actually wear it.It has the potential to be lovely, and it was for a good laugh, but I honestly would not recommend this garment to anybody who wanted to wear it for anything more active than a photo opp.

I am 5’6 210 lbs and carry most of my weight in my thighs, lower abdomen, chest and arms I have a pretty slender waist, so essentially, I’m an hourglass figure. If this is your type of build, do not size up. I made the mistake of listening to the reviews and getting a XXL and a 3XL and both are ridiculously large. Once I shorten the straps as small as they could go, I was able to at least work with it, but I definitely would’ve been better off with an XL. however, everything else about this is fantastic as far as the material how it feels and the weight all is great!

I ordered several light gray items hoping they could match. This item looked more lilac than gray.
