After one use, I went to my shower and threw away all of the gross files and scrapers that had accumulated there. I use this once or twice a week, use lotion regularly, and that takes care of the callus problem I never could stay ahead of before. Yes, if you hold it with the openings facing down, the shavings will fall out (i think it's called gravity). And yes, you have to be careful not to go too far or the scraped areas can be a little sore. But those are user errors. The product is genius. When a friend recommended this product after successfully using it on her sensitive feet I was excited to receive one of these for Christmas. I'm sure the product works wonders.... but I couldn't stand it after even a few strokes.
