I bought this model because it was the most affordable Touch2O model I could find at the time, despite being quite stylish. The most difficult part of this upgrade was removing my old faucet. The install instructions were clear, everything worked exactly as intended right out of the box and seems to be of good quality. My sink has 3 holes, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that this model included a matching cover plate. I was initially worried that the touch feature might be unintuitive or gimmicky, but it's quite the opposite. Turning on/off a faucet is something most of us do many many times a day and this genuinely improves the task. The faucet and handle also remain cleaner since you rarely need to touch them with your hands. As for my fears of accidently turning it on or off, they seem to be mostly without merit. The touch/hold feature solves most of the potential issues and in the unlikely event you do accidentally switch it on/off it can easily be tapped again. I could imagine a curious cat activating it with their nose though (It auto-shuts off after a few minutes). My only cons are that the downward facing veggie sprayer in a rigid tube is definitely inferior to my old, stand alone sprayer in terms of ease of use and mobility, and that the mix handle is quite short which makes precise adjustments to pressure and temperature more difficult compared to the large controls on my old faucet - however these complaints are true for really any faucet of this style. The latter issue is mostly alleviated by the touch sensor, as I rarely need to adjust the knob anyway. Update: I've had this faucet for about a year and a half. The low battery light finally came on for the first time. Your mileage will vary by use - but this was impressive to me. All the old batteries measured 1.17-1.19 V when removed and tested. Some more notes after living with this for a long time. Rarely, when I would attempt to turn it on, the light would turn on but the faucet wouldn't run. I have very hard water, so maybe it has something to do with that, or maybe because the batteries were reaching the end of their life. Simply turning it off and on again always worked. Hopefully the fresh batteries resolve it. Not gonna knock off a star for that yet. The biggest con I can think of is that there isn't really an effective way I can think of to trickle this faucet if you are worried about pipes freezing. It hasn't been a problem for me so far, but this is something to consider for some people in very cold climates. The final note is that you get really used to this thing. When I go to other people's houses I tend to tap on their faucets in a moment of confusion as nothing happens.

I purchased the Delta Essa Matte Black Touch Kitchen Faucet (9113T-BL-DST) about 3 months ago and I couldn’t be happier with it. The touch feature works flawlessly and makes everyday tasks so much easier, especially when your hands are dirty and you can use your elbow or wrist to turn it on. I especially appreciate the auto shut-off function, which gives me peace of mind if I ever forget to turn it off. The water pressure is great and seems in line with other similar advertised GPS from other faucets. Installation was relatively straightforward, and I’ve had no issues at all with performance. While it didn’t come with a soap dispenser, I was able to find a matching one on Amazon at a great price, and together they look fantastic. The sleek matte black finish adds a modern touch to my kitchen, and the pull-down sprayer is both powerful and convenient. Overall, this faucet has been a wonderful upgrade, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and functional kitchen faucet.

Bought this from Amazon and it was sold as "new". When it arrived, the product had fingerprints on the faucet itself and some of the packaging seemed to have been handled. I'm unclear whether local Amazon distribution centers are responsible for this practice of selling previously-returned items as "new" or if it is a company-wide practice. Obviously, its a huge issue for Amazon given the broad variety of things they sell, but there should be a separate category other than "new" for things that may have been returned or otherwise handled between factory and consumer. Despite the indications of a possibly returned product, I went ahead and installed this. I guess I was feeling optimistic. The install went smooth enough and no parts were missing. The touch function of this faucet means that "downstream" from the faucet valve (the handle attached to the spout) there is a battery-powered solenoid that senses your touch on the faucet (works best on the metal neck or handle). That solenoid has a sensor lead that you attach to the threaded part of the faucet below the counter surface - this clips on easily, no problem. The solenoid also has a power lead that goes to a battery pack that holds six (6) AA batteries. This battery case is about the size of a banana but doesn't really have any obvious way to mount underneath the sink or even any holes to help you hang it up out of the way. If the power leads to this pack are touched, it will actuate the sink. This is a bit of a flaw, but not really a big deal if you mount the pack out of the way. Still, don't bury it because the batteries will need changing a few times per year. My solution was just to make a little paracord cradle to hang this on some of the sink undermount brackets -- basically any solution that lets you hang this out of the way in a place you can access for battery changes should be ok. The problem we had with our Delta faucet sold by Amazon as "new" was that it had a bad solenoid. It didn't function smoothly, it was loud, it had reduced flow, then it stopped working. Rather than returning this to Amazon and having this happen again, possibly, to another customer, I called Delta the next business day. At Delta, I talked to a US-based Delta employee who was able to understand the diagnosis steps I had taken already and confirm the solenoid issue. They mailed me a new solenoid which arrived within a week. Installed the new solenoid and all functions perfectly now. The touch feature is a really nice upgrade that keeps the area around the faucet handle about 90% cleaner because it doesn't constantly get dripped on with wet hands. Awesome product, awesome company (Delta). Thanks!

UPDATE 3/19/20 the rona is scaring everyone but I have changed my review to 4 stars for this product from 2. I had a plumber come out and take apart my faucet due to extremely low water pressure. He found several large calcification chunks from my galvanized piping in the valves and screens. Pressure output is normal now and this faucet is now 100%. Only 4 stars because it does drip from time to time, but overall it works as intended and is still super convenient. do not buy this faucet if you: -value water pressure -dont mind it leaking either right away or eventually buy this faucet if you: -dont care about the negatives above our faucet leaked day 2. steady drip while leaving valve open and using the touch on/off feature. Water pressure is about 25% of every other faucet in our house, including the one we replaced. Delta is helpful over the phone, but they make you flush the solenoid and do all types of tests on your own. So if you had a plumber install, youll have to learn how to remove and re install. Defeating the purpose of paying a plumber. Long story short, the solenoids are a known fault and yet they just still sell them. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the touch feature really is handy when you have messy hands. and works well. Looks good too. But thats it.

Last update 20251121 - received the repair parts earlier this week, and the repair was pretty easy using the instructions and included repair tool. Plus, they sent me 2 of the magnets for the tip of the spout, so a spare if this recurs in 4+ years. Old magnet had plastic coating cracked with rust coming through, new magnet fit right in, good as new. It really was an easy fix. Thanks Delta from a happy customer! New update - I called Delta and they are ordering and sending replacement parts. More to come on this later... Same day update - this product has a limited lifetime warranty. I will be calling Delta tomorrow to get warranty support to replace the corroded tube. Will update this review after. Original review - We love these Faucets, unfortunately our first one lasted 11 years before the electronic solenoid gave out. So, we bought the replacement in October 2021 (4 years). Now, the curved spout that holds the spray nozzle is rusting where the nozzle seats into the tube. The rust was noticeable due to the fit becoming tight (corrosion increases volume). I am going to try to remove the spout temporarily to clean and seal the rusted seat area to see how that goes. If not we'll probably spend $260 for a new one, I guess.

I purchased this nearly 5 years ago and it's been working perfectly. I replace the batteries once a year or a little more, on average - use larger batteries if you can as they will last very long. I've gotten so used to the touch operation that I'm always thrown for a loop whenever I visit another person's house and instinctively try to tap it. The one gripe I have (and you'll find this for anyone who has had this for a long time) is that the magnetic handle connection will, over time, rust out. This part is covered by Delta's warranty and you should be able to have them replace it for free. If not, they do sell the magnetic replacement piece as well. I will be replacing this part for the first time now, though it started showing signs of needing replacement about a year ago. Beyond this, no issues whatsoever. Installation was as straightforward as it could have been, and it's been a pleasure to use. --- 6 year update: The solenoid finally went out, starting with slow drips, then a drizzle, then no real difference in "on/off" mode. On attempting to clean the solenoid the plastic debris basket disintegrated. This seems to not be an uncommon side effect at this point in its lifetime. The kick in the pants is that the solenoid is somehow priced almost as much as a whole new faucet. This is a pretty shameful pricing for what is probably a $30 part. I've ordered it anyway, but the next time it goes out I'll probably look to replace the whole assembly (and not with another Delta if I find a competitor that has better replacement part pricing).

Pros: The installation went pretty well, Delta does a good job of including everything you need and the fit and finish is quite good. I really like the functions of the spray-head, ease of touch to cycle on/off, LED color indicating temperature (although, it isn't terribly accurate), and the overall look of the faucet. Now for the cons: There is VERY little movement between full-ON and OFF with the handle. Meaning, you don't move it much at all and the water is full blast, then a little movement back and its at a trickle or off. That's a pretty fundamental flaw in such an expensive faucet (~$350). The touch-sensor triggers at odd intervals when trying to adjust the flow or temperature so grabbing the handle to change temp makes it cycle on and off randomly which is unnecessary wear on the automatic solenoid and you end up playing a back-and-forth game of touch and adjust. The angle of the head of this faucet was the biggest issue for us though. We had new quartz countertops drilled for it and positioned it so on full force, the water would point down the drain. If we put it closer to the sink edge (where most faucets are), it splashed water on the user (standard 30" x 18" x 10" sink). We had to position it 5 1/2" back to hit center of the sink, most people don't have that much counter space. This also became a problem because we could no longer install an under-the-counter soap dispenser, it would either line up with the faucet and be un-usable, or be next to the sink edge and look funny. Additionally, most other faucets, if installed in our countertop, would run about 2" from the back of the sink so in short; Delta kinda screwed us on this one. Lastly, the system runs on batteries and the battery case is pretty janky. Its difficult to load the batteries and there is no way to mount it on the cabinet or wall so it just lays on the floor. All in all, I would not recommend this faucet. We have a lot of buyer's remorse, largely due to the fact that our $3000 countertops are permanently altered to accommodate a sub-standard design. One of those things you don't find until you hook it up and turn it on. Update: the touch activated solenoid/valve has started failing. We haven't had it in 6 months (see original review) and it's already failing. Replacement solenoid? $150!!! Likely my last Delta product.

The faucet arrived on time and looks very nice. My initial feeling for this faucet was one disappointment as I expected it to work well out of the box- but learnt that I have to learn to use it. Initially after my plumber installed it, it turned on and off repeatedly. After a helpful interaction with Delta heals line and exchange of photographs, I got explicit instructions on how to arrange the wires! Rearranging the wires and preventing them from touching each other helped. I had also bought the power adaptor for the faucet, and the plumber had connected the both the batteries and the power adaptor. When I removed the batteries the touch function on the faucet improved dramatically, and it started working like the manufacturer said it would. However the faucet continued to drip after touch off! After a number of helpful videos and reading a lot of instructions, I learnt that the issue was with the "solenoid" . Disconnecting the solenoid for an hour and using the faucet as a conventional faucet before reconnecting the power adaptor solved the problem. Now the faucet works like they said it would, I am happy with it! The best feature apart from the looks and the touch feature are the lights that come on to show how hot the water is! Now the faucet is about 5 days old and hope it continues to work well. Caution- while using make sure water does not drip on to the bottom of the faucet- can cause the faucet to turn on and off! On the whole it is a nice faucet. The touch function is nice and hope it is functional in the long run. I have changed my rating to give it 5 stars! Very happy with it!

I got this after a previous Delta faucet I liked started to fall apart, rusting on the mag click part of the pull down is an ongoing issue on pretty much all faucets of this type...but at least it lasted 8 years. One thing I've noted is a constant battle to keep the base of the faucet dry, you don't want mold/mildew starting to build up. You really have to keep at it. So to replace my old faucet with one not too dissimilar, I decided to try this very affordable Essa Touch model, the price was good and reviews seem largely positive. Install was much easier than my 8 year old faucet, really appreciated that someone like me who isn't particularly handy, was able to follow the instructions even including the procedure to flush the line, and get my new faucet installed. It's very cool that the LED shows purple when it's warm, red when it's too hot for the kids to touch and blue when it's cold water. You don't need to leave the handle in the ON position and think you'll have one volume and temp for everything, however it does help you keep the back area dry. You typically turn the faucet on with dry hands, use your right hand and set the temp and volume you want, then do all your stuff. At the end you can use a light touch on the side of the faucet just above the pull down sprayer body (as the sprayer itself isn't touch), OR you can even use a light touch with your elbow to turn it off. What's more important is, you're never touching the handle to turn it off with wet hands. This keeps the base of the faucet perfectly dry, every time. I'm wishing I had made this jump years ago! Faucet seems well built, was easy to install, spray vs stream works well and touch and LED are so convenient. 5 stars at this on sale price of just over 400 bucks.

The reviews on this product are not from the uk. Bought it and plumber eventually got it working however it will only give you warm water. Needs a different connection. It’s now in the bin. Waste of time.
