The pump doesn’t start the siphon action, unless you struggle a lot. The non return valve in the hand pump does not function as expected and this causes agitation in the tank causing a whole lot of dirt to start floating around. The intake tube is made broad, but it becomes an hindrance and small fish get sucked in. I stoped using this stupidly designed device and am forced to use the conventional tube to suck and start the siphon. ☹️. Don’t buy this model.
