These characters are just amazing. Wait, they are not characters. They are real and a family that has taken us readers on a amazing journey.Liam & Josie's story has had a lot of ups and downs. But in the end they found their way back to each other and were able to build a happy life together with some amazing friends and children. In this farewell installment there are a lot of things happening and some things could not only jeopardize marriages but careers and friendships.After reading this book, I had to take some time and process my feelings and think about the series as a whole. Some people may not agree with some of my thoughts but that is what is great about being a reader. Everyone can read the same book but walk away with something different. For me, while I love Mason & am so sad that he is no longer with us I am angry that he was not a better friend to Liam. I know that he was young but still.. I am not saying that Liam was innocent but I feel like if his friends would have just stopped and looked they would have seen the signs.I do feel that Liam has taken a lot of blame for everything that has happened and honestly that is not fair. He could not be blamed for what Sam did specially since he didn't know about any of the stuff that she was doing. Was he wrong for getting involved with Sam? Yes but Josie also didn't have to fall for Nick. While I also love Josie like a sister, I found myself disappointed with her a few times in this book.Liam was not perfect in this story either by the way. There was something that Liam confided not to Josie but to himself while he was thinking in his hotel room that made me what to punish & slap him. But in the end, I found myself respecting Liam so much more after reading this book. While taking a walk down memory lane and being tested with past demons/poor decisions, he may have made a few missteps but in the end he stood up for what he believed in, tried to help someone he cared about (Who I am still not sure was not willing to use Liam for personal gain), fought for his family & friends, and proved that you don't have to give up your dreams. In the end everything worked out for the best. Do I still have a few questions? Yes, but I feel like I was given a complete story. As a huge fan of this series, you will always have questions or want more because we are talking about some of the best people ever created and you love them like they are your family.There were a few surprises in the story that I will not discuss because it will take away from the story. I will say this though: Chapter 19 was a long time coming.If you have not started this series, please do so. Thoughts and opinions are my own.As soon as the ARC of My Kind of Forever landed in my in-box, I forgot all about my book club book, I dropped my current read, and loaded it to my phone while waiting for the elevator to leave from work. I stopped to read in the hallway on my way out to my car. That is how much I wanted to read this book. I made it out to the car and read the first chapter and started the second before leaving the parking lot. Nothing else mattered when I re-entered Beaumont and lives of Liam and Josie and my life was put on pause until I finished reading My Kind of Forever. It was beautiful, emotional, sexy, and joyous, and I loved reading every word of it.My Kind of Forever really messed with my head and my heart. Of all the storylines of The Beaumont Series, Liam and Josie’s second chance at love has always been my favorite. I’ve loved reading about them in My Unexpected Forever and Finding My Forever and the influences they’ve had on Harrison and Katelyn and Jimmy and Jenna’s relationships, but I needed to know how they were making it work after the years they spent apart. In My Kind of Forever, we finally get to know what’s going on in their marriage from the inside. We see them trying to make it work. The love is there, but is it enough? Will the pain of the past overshadow their now and their future?There were a few times when I was brought to tears over what Liam and Josie were struggling with in their marriage and with their family. One scene in particular crushed me. It was something that I identified with on a personal level and could understand the strain that it put on their marriage and their life together. I was heartbroken along with them and felt connected to their pain. I mean I really felt it.I was EXTREMELY happy to get more of Nick and Aubrey’s story. I fell in love with Aubrey in My Everything and hoped to get more of her in the Beaumont series. There really wasn’t a reason for Nick and Aubrey to have a prevalent part in the other books, but they re-emerge and I love where Heidi took the story with these characters and their involvement in Noah’s life. I would’ve liked even more Aubrey, but I will take what I can get.I’ve been a fan of this series from the very beginning and have loved each and every book. I often worry when a series continues on into the fourth and fifth installments that the story won’t hold up and will diminish what I originally loved about the books. Fortunately, this is not the case as Heidi continuously raised the bar. Heidi McLaughlin has truly given readers a lovely, crafted finale to The Beaumont Series with My Kind of Forever. Fans will adore My Kind of Forever and fall in love with the couple who started it all all over again. ### ⭐⭐⭐ nothing spectacular *by B***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2022* This couple is not worth all the attention they’ve gotten. Out of the series Liam and Josie are my least fave couple. He comes across as selfish even when he’s claiming he’s doing the right thing. Josie is very insecure I get he has a past but when she married him she married into that life and it’s full of liars, cheating, and backstabbing .
