Works. Hair feels great - ready for more color
I am naturally blonde, this is my “after” picture. I stopped chemically dying my hair 5 years ago and I’m turning to henna-related products to thicken my very fine, aging hair and also prevent me from going gray. My grays blend in with my sun bleached hair and the effect feels unkempt to me. I am < 10% grays but I can notice them. My hair feels awesome. I bought this because I already had a box of “light brown” henna blend and it warned that any platinum or gray strands should be treated first with this neutral “conditioner” product. This makes sense as you wouldn’t want it to come out weirdly bright on bleached, porous, damaged strands. This box warns that very light hair can take on a little color: can confirm, grays are now golden. If you’re a natural blonde your family isn’t even going to notice. I have a patch of gray at my temple and even it now looks like sun bleached blonde / not gray. Incidentally, this is what I wanted to accomplish with the “light brown,” but I think I will still do that as my hair gets so weird fall - spring when the sun isn’t lightening it up. I only needed half a box for my fine hair. I saved the other half and will use it to refresh my hair in a few months. I hope this works for the rest of my life—chemical dyes force me to keep my hair short and I like having medium length hair that looks fairly healthy. I used one chamomile tea bag and about a teaspoon each of ginger and nutmeg to improve the smell. I love it, others hate the “straw” smell but I think it’s pleasant.

Coloring Grey Naturally!
My hair was being ruined at salons that think nothing of applying hair coloring, dyes and highlights that wreak havoc with the condition of one's hair. After going without any kind of hair coloring for almost one year, I decided to try Henna. I used the Henna coloring for grey hair and it not only came out wonderfully brown but it left my hair in such a wonderful condition, I'll never return to a salon and pay their over-priced fees for ruining my hair. I purchased the Henna neutral for my sister who didn't need color but wanted a natural conditioner. We're both sold on the products. Beware! Do not use henna if you have recently had your hair chemically treated. Wait at least three months! Otherwise, the henna will have a nasty reaction to the chemically-treated hair and you will not be happy. I used coffee rather than water when mixing the henna so that I would have more brown and less red. And, I laid a heating pad on top my head to create a "heat source". (this helps the henna to color the hair). Since my grey hair is resistant to color, I let the henna set for three hours. (Sounds like a long time but I just turned the afternoon into a "spa day" ...doing a manicure, pedicure and facial at home while waiting for the henna to set. Usually, the hair coloring treatments I get at salons fade within 7-10 days and my grey reappears within a week. I've used henna almost three weeks ago and the grey is still covered. Not bad for a $10 product that I can use at home. If you are hesitant about using the henna, do a little research online. There are plenty of sites with lots of information. Educate yourself first, then try it. I was spending anywhere from $60 to $140 to have my hair colored every six weeks...With henna...that extra money is being used to enjoy some dinners out with my husband!

unexpected awesome result - neutral henna (no color)
i used to be a strawberry blonde but now have serious unadulterated gray, especially at the sides. i never intended to color my hair, only wanted to add some shine, so i purchased the neutral henna. i got an unexpected result in that the gray sort became more of a light reddish blonde. the instructions mentions there might be slight color change to very light hair so i guess that is what happened. in all fairness i didn't notice until about 60 minutes in that the instructions said to only leave the neutral on for a maximum of 45 minutes but, whatever the reason, i love the result. i have fairly thick (though thinning with age!) curly hair and the henna seems to makes it feel thicker and it has a different texture (like beach hair) that is also shinier than before. i'll be using this again and again.

It’s a pure and great product.
Makes the hair real nice as in shiny and healthier feeling. On white hairs it adds a pale warm blonde color. I bought it to thicken my hair ends. Remember, these dry/powdered herb hair colors are only for people that don’t use chemical hair colors. “The Henna public/people” know how to use this stuff.

Does not give my grey hair any kind of color
Good but it does not dye my grey hair in anyway.

Love this product!
Absolutely love this product. I’ve used different colors for about 2 years and every time I use it my hair feels amazing after. Winter time is really harsh on my scalp and leaves it dry and flakey. After I use this product my scalp feels amazing and is flake free. I’ve also noticed it softens my hair and helps seal my split ends so I can go longer between cuts. Every color I have used from this product is true to the tone it promises and lasts so long! And as it fades (after months) my roots blend really nicely into it. I’m so glad a friend turned me onto this product. I’ll never traditionally dye my hair again. Neutral is perfect for when I don’t want to add color and just give my scalp a moisturizing treatment.
