Q: How well does it really hold a knot?

It holds a knot as well as other Elasticity sizes I have tried (I prefer the 1.0 mm clear). My first knots came apart right away. Then I watched several "knot tying for bead bracelets" videos on YouTube, and found that a double surgeon's knot works so well that I don't even add glue. The trick is to tighten the elastic just the right amount so that it isn't over or under stretched. I want it to spring back nicely after going over the hand. Sometimes it still takes a few tries to get it just right. Hope this helps!

Q: whats the best knot to use for stretch bracelet with this product?

Kinda depends on what you're making... I use this for bracelets , beaded ones with connector pieces like crosses, infinity signs, etc..... In that case I usually double strand the bracelet and tie a regular knot on the e d I'm closing on.... Hope that helps some!!!
