Toe Relief That Actually Works These gel toe separators from Dr. Frederick’s are simple but incredibly effective. I started using them after dealing with mild bunion pain and a tendency for my toes to overlap when wearing tighter shoes. Right away, I appreciated that the pack includes three different sizes (small, medium, large), so you can find the best fit for each foot or even switch depending on the shoe. The gel itself is soft and flexible—it doesn’t dig in, and after a few minutes I hardly notice they’re there. I’ve worn them barefoot around the house and also inside roomy sneakers, and in both cases, they kept my toes comfortably spaced. The cushioning helped relieve pressure and stopped that pinched, rubbing feeling. They wash up easily with soap and water, and after several uses, they still look and feel the same. One thing to note is that they work best in looser shoes or at home; in tighter dress shoes, the extra width might feel bulky. Also, if you’re on your feet for many hours, you may want to take short breaks just to give your skin a rest. Bottom line: A practical, comfortable solution for bunion discomfort and overlapping toes. Having multiple sizes in one pack makes them versatile and a great value.

Excellent product does what it is supposed to do

Have issues resulting from an auto accident that crushed my foot. There was not enough bone to operate so had to heal in a cast. Now arthritis has caused problems and I have used other products to relieve the pain that have not lasted and didn't work very well. These gel separators are quite sturdy and help even though are too large for me to wear with my shoes. My problem doesn't involve the big toe but the little toe up. They give me relief and I am confident they will last much better than previous ones.

I purchased and compared the Medium ( Dr. Frederick's Original Gel Toe Separators - Bunion Pain Relief for Men & Women - 6 Pieces - Medium ) and Large ( Dr. Frederick's Original Gel Toe Separators - Bunion Pain Relief for Men & Women - 6 Pieces - Large ) versions of these toe separators. There is not much difference in dimensions although there is a significant difference in fit. I find the Medium a much-better fit. Viewed from the top, the large is about 2 mm (0.08") longer and 1 mm (0.04") wider. The width at the narrowest point (which determines actual toe separation) is about 2 mm wider in the Large. So what does this all mean? With fairly large feet and big toes I found the Medium very comfortable and it does separate the two largest toes. (toes 1 and 2.) I found the Large too thick – it separates the toes too much and for me starts to get uncomfortable because of the greater separation. Ideally the manufacturer would sell a mixed set so you can decide which size is best. I suggested that to the seller for future reference. I strongly recommend the Medium. The gel material is very comfortable, holds its shape, and stays in place. I put some talcum powder on the palm of my hands and roll the separators in the powder before placing them between my toes. This seems to further improve comfort. So I recommend trying the Medium and only going for the Large if the Medium simply don't provide separation. The gel toe separators seemed a little big size for my foot with bonion, but now I feel very comfortable with them . They are very good quality. I might order medium size to test.

I've bought these cheaply at my local discount department store's pharmacy area for years, but I can't find it anymore. The closest that I can find has an attached loop of the same material that goes around a toe which I wasn't sure would be comfortable for all-day wearing. When I checked Amazon, this was the closest in detail & quality that I found, but for my use, unfortunately even the size small was too wide for my women's size 7 foot. I wear them all-day every day & while jogging 3 days a week, and maybe my bunion isn't extremely big so that I don't require the extreme separation that this company's product provides. Everyone has different needs, so it may work wonderfully for someone else.

Finally, toe spacers that come in different sizes and that actually space mens toes. I've had trouble finding toe spacers that are thick enough to do anything but fall out and get bunched up in my socks. I've tried inexpensive brands at big-box stores and found that many brands save money by using so little material they do nothing. When I searched for "mens" toe spacers, I just got unisex brands that were made for small feet or just made badly and advertised as for men and for women. These are firmer than the gel inserts I've used before and take just a bit of getting used to. I find them firm but comfortable. They do not move around in my socks or shoes because they are large enough. I have a man's size 11 foot, and Medium worked for me. Anything larger would have been much too much. I'd think large would be for people with a very large space to fill or people who want a large amount of correction, whatever your foot size. My initial gel toe spacers were from an orthopedic surgeon, who gave these to me after surgery for hallux rigidus (not bunions). These were thinner in the middle than the top and bottom, but provided real separation. Every pair of gel inserts I've bought on Amazon or in big retailers since has been very thin between the toes, done nothing to support my feet, and just moved around in my socks because they were too thin.

Excellent. Purchased after having operation to straighten toe and foot alignment. After my operation the Surgeon advised wearing a toe spacer to keep a suitable space between my big toe and the one next to it. I did loads of research on the internet and purchased several others before coming across this one. The others were all too narrow and didn’t keep a wide enough gap between my toes. In fact most available in UK online and in shops are so narrow there’s not much point in using them. I saw this make advertised on American sites and found them available to UK customers through Amazon. These are brilliant. The quality of the material is excellent and they are comfy to wear. They stay in place all day. They provide a good gap between the toes, just as surgeon requested. I checked the measurements shown on Amazon before choosing size medium which is the perfect size for me (if I was buying for between my small toes, then I would need narrower spacers and would choose the small size). I am delighted with my purchase.

I bought this to replace a Dr Scholl separator which disappeared. s with its predecessor, I don't really know I'm wearing it until I stop! It is doing the job for which I bought it, and the pack worked out a lot cheaper per unit than the Dr Scholl one.

I used to buy toe separators from Boots at £4.50 each, then they changed the compound of the rubber, so they fall apart after just a couple of days, so I went on the Hunt for others that were big enough & strong enough for the job, I found these! The compound is strong but durable & comfortable & much better value than Boots ever were. These are highly recommended, I get a lot of pain if I don't wear them, so these are perfect & no more pain.
