Nostalgia SP6BS Black Stainless Steel 6-Quart Stirring Speed Popcorn Popper with Seasoning, Oil, and Popcorn Kit

I read and read reviews of corn poppers and was a bit hesitant about buying this one after some people remarked that the coating on the bottom was coming off. I have used mine about 20 times now and have not experienced that issue. What I have experienced is a simple to use popper that is easy to use and pops almost every kernel - every time! Seriously, the rotating arm mechanism some how catches all of the kernels as they swirl and pop and rarely do I find more than one or two kernels at the bottom of the bowl. It makes a delicious batch of popcorn and the feature on the top (covered by a lid) that lets you add slivers of butter that drip into the popping process works great as well. I have ZERO complaints and will look to this maker in the future if I ever need to replace. A plus!

When I was a kid, we had one similar to this, but more of an early 80's model. I was looking for one that would give us that old-fashioned, home-popped popcorn.This popper even has the top opening (that you leave open while popping the popcorn) where you can put butter to melt onto the popcorn.I use organic popcorn and organic butter-flavored virgin coconut oil. After popping I tried some of the popcorn flavor powders.This is not just healthier and better tasting, more natural popcorn, than the microwave bags, but it's wayyyy more economical!! I bought a huge 7 lb jug of popcorn kernels and it will last for a LONG time. You only need three 1/4 cup scoops of kernels per bucket of popcorn, so it is soooo economical!!!! And oh yeah!! The measuring scoops for the oil and popcorn kernels come with it!!!If you buy microwave popcorn, but switch to this popper, you will not only be eating healthier, you will save a TON of money!!!!THIS IS IT!! Exactly what I was looking for!!I just used it for the first time, and I LOVE THIS MACHINE!!!I am a popcorn fanatic, and this popper is wonderful!!!If I could give it more stars, I would!!

I have no complaints about how well it makes the popcorn. The first batch I made finished pretty quickly, and left very few unpopped kernals. I did not experience any odd tastes mentioned by other reviewers.I have one small complaint - The cord is very short, and comes out on the same side as the power switch. You need to have clear counter space right next to an outlet to run this.

Pros: Easy to use out of the box. On/Off switch. Came with simple manual with recipes.Cons: Careful with handle, can accidently touch the HOT "bar"99% corn pops within minutes.

It is so easy to use and clean. It comes with two scoopers. One for the popcorn kernels, and one for the oil. It's used for a 1 to 1 ratio. I put 2 scoops of kernels and 2 scoops of Redenbacher popping oil with 1/2 teaspoon flavacol. 1/3 bar of butter sliced into 4, that melted on the top vent. Never going back to microwave popcorn! Just a great machine.

I like the fact it has an on and off switch, it comes apart to clean and a very durable bowl..It cooks the popcorn evenly and the bowl is a nice size to make lots of popcorn. It replaced my old one.

I’ve loved this popcorn popper since I bought it, but I noticed that the rim around the plastic cover/bowl is melting around the edges.I reach out to Amazon with a picture.Otherwise it’s a very good/ user friendly popcorn popper👍

This is our second one. We wore out the older model we had. Yes, we eat a lot of popcorn. This one is more compact but pops the same amount of popcorn. It's also faster. A great upgrade.

It needs oil. Use 1 TBS butter or margarine. If you use more (who doesn't love extra butter). It makes its way down the sides of the bowl and ends up in the uncleanable area with the lamp.
