Very Pretty
It's nice looking and very useful, love the two sections and ease of pulling out for washing.

Great wicker hamper
I am very pleased with this wicker hamper. It's made well and looks nice in our guest room. We do not have a separate laundry room (washer and dryer in an alcove area off the kitchen) so we have to keep dirty laundry in another room. I was tired of looking at the plastic laundry baskets I was using and wanted something more attractive. If you have a large family it might not be big enough but for my husband and me, it's perfect. I love that it's divided. We put dirty towels on one side and our clothes on the other. Several former reviewers mentioned an odor (probably the water hyacinth it is constructed with) but it has not bothered us at all -- it's kind of a natural grass-type of odor. It's not overly strong and is disappearing quickly. I am very happy with this purchase!

Bit small, but good
This replaced a similar hamper I had whose liner ripped and I couldn't find a replacement to save my life. The liners for this one, while probably also not easily replaceable, are made of significantly more durable material that's even washable with regular laundry, which is an aspect I love. The hamper itself is really nice looking, but it's somewhat weak against attacks. I haven't had a problem with scratches and scuffs because I never move it from its spot, but I was fostering a very active cat who tore into it pretty good on the first day I put it out. The little a-hole left some damage on the top flap for me to remember him by, but other than that it seems like it'll hold up. The dowels seem sturdy, though I'm a little worried about the hooks. I'm waiting for them to get pulled off by removing a full bag of laundry one of these days, but it hasn't happened yet. As for size, it's small. I definitely do not recommend to a family, or probably even to a couple, unless laundry gets done more than once a week, or if both sections are used for normal laundry. I use one section for regular (I put whites with colored because I don't use bleach) and the other section for delicates. The regular section fills up fast, and if I don't adhere to my weekend laundry ritual, I'll have dirty clothes falling out onto the floor. It's a nice hamper and a good buy if you don't want one of those ugly, cheap plastic ones hanging around.

We use it as a combo waste basket/recycling bin.
We recently remodeled our living room, and didn't want to put an ugly chrome, or plastic bin in it. We also wanted a place to conveniently place items for recycling. I replaced one of the canvas liners with a standard draw string, plastic liner, tied it, and draped it over the supporting rods; it fits perfectly. I use the other compartment with one of the two canvas liners for recycling. It does the job admirably, and looks great. It should go without saying that since the hamper is porous, you shouldn't throw anything smelly into it, but this is for a living room, and not a kitchen.Come to think of it, this would make a great hamper! ;)

I read the reviews and debated this item for a long time. I have to say I'm glad I focused on the positive reviews because I love it. It was better, and bigger than I expected! It looks SO much better in my bedroom than the cheap plastic one that I had before. I love the division between the two sides which allows me to keep a few things sorted. It is great quality, roomy, and looks very chic!

Looks great. I went with the natural colored one as most of the negative reviews seemed to be about the poor quality of the paint job (or whatever was used) on the darker colored unit. I'm just not sure yet if each side will be large enough for our extra-large loads, and I didn't realize there was a larger size available. But it seems reasonably sturdy, attractive, and I like that each bag can be lifted out. I'll report back about the size after our next wash.

Much too delicate
If you have a cat or even if you just want to place something on top of this, this is not the hamper for you. I had it for less than a week and it became damaged. First, I placed a hair brush on top and when I bumped into it, the brush scratched off the brown. Then my cat completely shredded it…

Not Durable
I ordered 2 of these. 1 came in damaged. See photos. There is NO protective packing material in the box, so if the box gets damaged, so will the item. The woven material feels very cheap and extremely light weight. I’m concerned it will not hold up long. These are laundry hampers, there will be a lot of bulky items going in and out. The inner bags are not well made, and will probably tear soon. Based on the cost, I don’t think the quality is where it should be. I have contacted the seller regarding the damaged 1. It’s been a couple days, so we’ll see how that goes. We will have to alter how we use these so they don’t break, but we will keep them provided the damaged one is taken care of. Visually they are attractive, and meet our needs in that category. They will become more of a dirty laundry hiding spot, not a true functioning laundry basket. We will move the contents into a standard plastic laundry basket on laundry day. Taking the inner bags in and out is not practical, the handles fall out of the loops very easily and the inner hooks they hang from are not real sturdy. So once again, we will alter how we use this to keep it from breaking. As a decorative spot to put light weight laundry out of sight…I would say they will meet that need.
