The Wayfinding Bible NLT Kindle Edition

The Wayfinding (NLT†) Bible holds my interest by flashing its colorful trinkets before my eyes.I bought the paper hardcover which I love. I bought the Kindle version too, but found it impossible to maneuver. This bible has been sitting around unused for two years. I just started reading it. It is perfect suited for a newbie like me. I tried to read the New King James Study Version, and got massively bogged down (too hard), where I tried to read Jeremiah. Jeremiah is an arduous (long) book, particularly for one as brand spanking new as me. I gave up. Then I picked up the Wayfinding Bible (I keep calling it the Warfaring Bible) and boy, what a difference -- nincompoops like me need things dumbed-down a quantum step. Even NRSV is too "thick" for me.I have several kids' bibles (including full comic book bibles) but they are a tad TOO dumbed down. I just invested in an  NIV Rainbow Study Bible, Jacketed Hardcover Indexed  (which I have not yet received), so between the Wayfinding and NIV bibles, I ought to be set. I will use the "advanced" NKJV and NRSV bibles when I have the gist of all the bibles' chapters. This my favorite translation of the Holy Bible. I have been reading it almost daily as my devotional since purchasing it in the fall of 2013. I am currently on the tail end of the Scenic route. This version of the Bible has accomplished its goal of getting me to read the scriptures daily, something I have never done before with any reading plan or devotional. Blessed kudos to the staff that put it together. I have been reading it on the Kindle app on my tablet and phone for the last six months. The Kindle option would be the best way to try it out before purchasing either the Kindle or paper version. With it available on Kindle it is always with me when I need some inspiration. Praise the Lord!Update Feb 2018I continue to use this wonderful bible as my daily devotional. It took me over two and a half years to get through all 3 routes (Flyover, Direct and Scenic.) Now I read the Scenic route over and over. I plan to start taking some of the Side Trips as well. I am so fond of this bible, I have gifted it to my siblings and adult children. I put money is as bookmarks hoping they would open up this bible and start reading it. Sadly after a year I had to inform them about the bookmarks. That is the way it is in this world. The Good News of the Gospel is out there for you to choose. If you reject the message, that is on you. If you accept it, your life will change forever. Like this wonderful bible you will find peace and comfort it the messages it contains. God will bless all of you who continue to read it.

this is my favorite Bible! I love that it shows you how to read in chronological order. That is AMAZING! It really helps you get an understanding of events. I have one for myself, and have bought three as gifts. Everyone loves them!

The Wayfinding Bible (NLT) presents the reader with 3 different "itineraries" from which to choose your journey through the Bible. If you are new to any type of Bible reading. You may enjoy the very "high level overview" journey through the Bible, which will give you a real Birdseye view of the whole story which is the Bible. Almost impossible to take this itinerary route without having a desire to sneak off of the path and get more information. I would encourage you to remain on your chosen itinerary through completion. When you complete your initial overview journey. You will likely be much more excited to get started on your more detailed and feet on the ground, "direct route" which will take you on a far more detailed journey through the Bible. If you are accustomed to Bible reading and simply enjoy reviewing and reading in a more detailed consecutive order through the books of the Bible. This level may be for you. And finally, there is the itinerary described as the "Scenic Route" which is essentially a straightforward journey through all the highways and byways of the Bible. Whichever itinerary you choose, you will enjoy stops along the way with observation points and special notes and applications along with exciting graphics and photographs.Tyndale publishing has done a wonderful job in releasing this.

So far, so good. Definitely different if you are looking for a way to read through the Bible with more purpose. I read the Bible backwards last year and decided I wanted to find a path to follow and while looking for a devotion I came across this Bible. Good quality and so far loving the layout.

I bought this after seeing someone else's copy. I love it. Love the way it's layed out and pictures of the Holy land. Pictures are as close as I'll ever get, so really nice to see things which are spoken about in the bible. Enjoyed the"route " I took and now going to go back a follow the next one.Already bought a copy for a freind as a gift, and will be buying more.

I had this bible recommended to me by a friend and I love it. It's not just your average bible! It has historical context included as well as fantastic routes to choose from. It makes it really easy to read, especially for me who was a bit daunted by it! I would recommend this to everyone as a really easy, enjoyable way of getting into the bible!

such a unique way of studying - starting with the flyover to get the taste for the wonders of the Word - dipping deeper and then full on- three ways to relate and learn to become on a deeper relationship with God. Awesome.
