Like many, I was disappointed when Aveda stopped carrying their awesome shammy. I needed something new, so I purchased this. It’s not the same as the Aveda product, but it works well. Here’s where I noticed differences:1. Thickness: This shammy is thicker than what I was used to. However, I’ve discovered I like the thickness because it gives the shammy some weight. I can already that is going to last for a while. I like that.2. Texture: This shammy is more smooth than the one I’d been using. Since it has a different feel, I wasn’t sure I was going to like that because I didn’t think the shammy would do a good job of catching and removing dirt and makeup. I’ve discovered I like how the shammy glides over my skin and I’ve had no issue getting my face clean.3. Price: Though the other shammy worked well, it was extremely expensive. This shammy gets the job done and does so at a much more affordable price.4. Drying: If you use a face shammy, you know when you hang them to dry they become stiff. This shammy dries quickly, and because it is thicker it doesn’t become brittle or crack when fully dry.4. Size: I don’t have the exact measurements, but this shammy seems a bit bigger than the brand I used to use. That’s a good thing because it’s large enough for me to clean my entire face well.I love this shammy and my teenage daughters do too. I plan on buying more for our use and gifting a few to friends. I’m 100% satisfied with my purchase and recommend this shammy.

I love the way your face does not feel like the wash cloth is sucking the moisture out of your skin. You can see the dirt lifted off your skin and are left with supple feeling skin. I use this daily but was a bit disappointment to get a white one when I thought it would be pink. Not a big deal breaker just would have liked to know. So for those of you buying you may not get a pink one just an FYI. But don't let that sway you from purchasing this as it is a great buy and does a great job. It does dry stiff like your normal chamois. No funny smells.

I absolutely love using this cloth! I started off using a Shammy Cloth by Aveda but once I saw this here, I decided to give it a try. It is much softer and easier to handle and works just as well. I just adore the powder pink color it comes in.I had issues with my Aveda Shammy Cloth getting black spots on it, no matter how many times I washed it. I have not had that problem with this cloth. I will continue to order more of these. They are very effective at clearing away excess product and dead skin all while being gentle.

I am very impressed with the quality of this facial chamois!In the past I have used the Aveda chamois and loved it! However I do not love the price!For a better price this New England/Earthline Pink facial chamois is a comparable option! And I love the pionk color!Feels great on my face, much gentler than a towel on the delicate skin of the face.I am a very pleased customer!

Wonderfully soft and gentle. Yes, it gets fairly stiff when it dries, but oh so soft when wet. It is much silkier than the previous one I had. It is not very big - think covers your face but not bigger. So far I'm able to easily rinse makeup off of it after washing my face with it at the end of the day. I am very sensitive to odors, and have not noticed an odor to this product - which is perfect. It is a bold, almost shiny, white. Exactly what I was looking for.

I LOVE these for face care. They are so soft, perfect for ultra-sensitive rosacea skin like mine. I had used my original chamois for a couple of years when I decided maybe it was time for a new one. Wow, I will definitely replace them more often than every couple of years. I'd forgotten how smooth they are...the new one is baby bottom smooth. Even after a couple of years, it was still nice, but not like new! I deep cleanse my face in the evening and in the morning either just wipe with the chamois and warm water, or with a mild cleanser on the chamois. I do occasionally throw in the wash with my delicates and air dry and it does great.

I was hoping this would be a good substitute for the discontinued Aveda shammy. It has a different feel, almost too smooth. Aveda's was more exfoliating. It also hangs onto makeup, doesn't rinse out completely like the Aveda one. It's ok. I'll probably keep using it but I'll also keep looking for a better one.

Like many others, I used the Aveda shammy cloth for many years and was very disappointed when they were discontinued. I purchased this shammy based on the many reviews that claimed it was better than Aveda's; I disagree. Altho they clean well, they are very thick and feel very odd to my face. I have gotten somewhat used to the feeling but will continue to look for something else.
