Rat Bait Station Tunnel with Dual Snap Traps That Kill Instantly (Clear Lid)

I was so pleased with the first one I bought another one. We are in the fortunate/unfortunate position of having a cat who is a very good ratter. He is well known in our area for it. Unfortunately he likes to bring his "friends" into the house, through the cat flap, and then loses interest in them whether they are dead or not. This has led to an awful not of distress on our part but this trap has helped no end. I have been setting just one of the two traps inside the box, baited with chocolate. As rats can be quite large, I find one trap in the box to be the best. I then set the other trap close by to the box. Emptying the box is as easy as using the key to open it (outside) and then releasing the sprung trap and tipping the body into a bin bag. As most kills are completely clean there is no need to wash the trap afterwards, but a rinse under an outside tap serves that purpose well. Also because the trap is inside the box there is no chance of the cat hurting himself on it. I never bait with poison because of the cat and the smell of chocolate is a major lure to a rat.

The trap works well but unfortunately some birds manage to get caught in the trap and the whole purpose is that no other animals get killed by the tunnel trap. After 2 months the traps fell apart and i had to buy New ones.

I have set it 4 times now, we must have clever rats in Wales, they go in, eat the chocolate but somehow never manage to set the traps off. Doesn't work.

I am concerned about Health and Safety issues regarding this product. I found the trap extremely difficult to set and, in the course of several attempts, sustained injuries to my fingers, including cuts and a blood blister measuring 7mm x 5mm. Also, the trap is very sensitive and springs at the lightest touch.
