Super Happy with Eden's Eating Out Loud Cookbook!
I'd been hoping to find a clear path to learning how to cook Middle Eastern dishes and wanted to learn about and understand how to use some new spices. Eden's Eating Out Loud has perfectly hit the mark. Her opening sections on "Your New Middle Eastern Pantry" and "The Essentials - Sauces and Dips" got me off on a solid footing. And now I'm having great success working my way through her delicious recipes. In my first week, I've made six dishes and every one has been serious, healthy deliciousness. I especially love her "work arounds" for when you don't have all of the exact ingredients or correct cooking pieces on hand.Eating Out Loud is chock full of gorgeous inspiring photographs, and Eden's charming personality is clearly evident throughout. Okay, yes, I've been a fangirl for a while now... but even if weren't - I am Super Happy with this cookbook! I've already learned so much, I'm eating healthier and I'm once again having great fun playing in the kitchen!

Underwhelmed
I was super excited for this book and upon flipping through the pages the recipes sounded interesting and the pictures are gorgeous. Unfortunately the 4 things I've made so far have been underwhelming. Some of the individual recipe steps are a bit long and should be broken into multiple steps for ease of reading. I was also thoroughly grossed out when she said to bring your dough into the bathroom as you shower to "bloom". I plan on making the chicken schnitzel sandwich and a few other recipes this week, will update review if any of them are anything more than average. Overall I would say this is a cookbook for those that are comfortable in the kitchen and take inspiration from recipes instead of following them exactly because they're just not that great as written.Edit: Keeping my review at a 3 but really I think it's at more of a 2.5 if recipes are followed exactly. If you want a cookbook with delicious middle eastern recipes I'd point you towards any of Ottolenghi's books. I will say the harissa honey that goes on the chicken schnitzel sandwich is delicious and I'll definitely be remaking the recipe but with my own twist sometime soon. Also the honey vinegar beets are pretty tasty as well. The nan e barbari was far too sweet and seemed more like focaccia but that could be a difference in measuring techniques since the recipe is given in volume instead of mass. Skip the chicken soup entirely.

The best cookbook I own!
I was lured in to buy this book while reading 'The Week'.; they had an article for a burger that made me start salivating. Full disclosure, I'm a food addict and seriously look for meals to cook in my firehouse. I've only cooked two meals thus far out of this cookbook but they've both been spectacular. Tonights burger was literally the best burger that I've ever eaten, and I made it. My wife, who grew up in Pennsylvania and is of Lebanese descent, told me that it reminded her of her childhood. Nothing but good things here and I just can't wait to eat more of these delicious meals. Buy this. Share this. Love this.

Lives up to the hype - fantastic cookbook!
I’ll be honest, I bought this book because a lot of people I follow on Instagram were raving about how good it is. Even though I collect cookbooks, I’m very choosy about what I buy and I wasn’t sure it would live up to the hype. Oh how wrong I was! This is an absolutely fabulous cookbook - interesting flavors & textures put together in a beautiful & delicious way. It’s honestly worth the price of the cookbook for the Salted Halvah Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe alone! I want to make everything in this book (very very rare I say that) and I can see making dishes from it for years to come.

Love this cookbook
Love Eden and I love this cookbook! Have already made 3 or 4 recipes since having the book a week! The pictures are so vibrant and so is the food when you make it. Both the beet salad on pg118 and the vinegar and honey roasted beets w/ labneh on pg110 are amazing. The recipes are easy to follow and don’t require nearly as many random ingredients you’ll never use again as other cookbooks I’ve used. Can’t wait to make more recipes from this cookbook.

What a fun and delicious book!
I have been so looking forward to Eden's book coming out because I have been following her for years and love the flavors and practicality of her recipes. The book uses middle eastern flavors and recipes are definitely approachable for the home cook. I love the way Eden gives practical advice about some new flavors to add to our pantry. I have been inspired by her in the past and have been cooking up a storm using her new book and some new spices I picked up to accompany!

LOVE! So glad I preordered this cookbook - its even better than I expected!
Love this cookbook! The prose by Eden is charming and approachable and the photography is gorgeous! All of the recipes (that I've tried so far!) are wonderfully delicious, fresh, and flavorful! The recipes remind me of my time spent in the Middle East and mediterranean as they are wonderfully authentic (without requiring difficult to acquire ingredients) and there are tons of new flavors and recipes that I hadn't tried yet. Planning to cook EVERY SINGLE ONE of the recipes asap.

Best thing you'll get in 2020
This book is exceptional! Its beautiful and I want to make every recipe. So far I have made the carrot salad and the harissa and roasted tomato soup and they have both been insanely delicious. Tomorrow I am making the classics shakshuka for breakfast and the cauliflower and the green beans for dinner.Best thing about this recipe book is that Eden uses the same spices over and over again so you dont feel like you're constantly having to buy new spices only to use 1 tsp and then never touch them again.10/10 would recommend. Very bold and very unique.

Fantastic recipes, gorgeous photos
I LOVE Eden Grinshpan and her cookbook is GORGEOUS. It's hilariously written, I read it in her voice because she obviously wrote it herself. The photography is beautiful and vibrant, her family is adorable, she includes great stories, and the recipes are totally do-able. We've been wanting to try Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean flavours and this is the perfect way to start.

Fantastic Middle Eastern Cuisine from Eden Grinshpan
I love this cookbook! I have not cooked a lot of Middle Eastern cuisine before (although I love to eat it), but this book makes it very easy. The instructions are clear and straight-forward, the photography is beautiful, and the results delicious. I have made 10 recipes from the book to date (I've only had it for two weeks) and have the ingredients for two more lined up and ready to go for tomorrow. This is the kind of cookbook that I love -- one that I know I will use again and again.
