Herschel Grade Messenger Bag

Nice bag. Looks good. Good quality. Had to return solely because it was too large for what I was looking for. Still give 5 stars.

Can’t go wrong buying a Herschel bag, and this one is no exception. Great quality for the price point. There’s a pocket on the outside of the bag making those go-to items easily accessible without opening the bag. A lot of people complained about the “loudness” of opening the bag, but honestly that is a preferential issue and has nothing to do with the quality of the bag. The velcro closure is VERY secure, hence the extra noise when opening bag. Inside, there is plenty of space with another decent sized pocket to store your smaller items. My only improvement would be the strap clip, which is a bit loose, but nothing a little manual manipulation won’t fix.

Love it! I’m so glad I went with the mid-volume one and not the mini. It’s the perfect size for what I wanted. I was downsizing from the Hershel diaper bag since my toddler is potty trained and we don’t need to bring as much stuff now. It fits a couple of her outfits, some snacks, my sunglasses, etc. with room for me to throw in my wallet and phone when I don’t wanna carry a purse also!

The mid is not too small, not too big. I am a junk whore and this bag has room enough for all my stuff. The only thing I don’t like about this bag is that the strap clip doesn’t stay put, so the strap, which seems really long, is often hanging into oblivion. This bag is sturdy and well put together. Overall I like it, and I would buy it again.

The bag is great and receive a lot of compliments on it. Use it to carry numerous items and clothes and still have room for more. The Velcro is extremely strong and holds tight.

This bag is constructed VERY well, very sturdily. There is absolutely nothing at all wrong with the construction or quality of this bag. Seeing as it is larger than I anticipated and for *other reasons*, I only carried this bag as a purse for about 3 weeks. I will use it as a weekend bag here on out, because it is so large, and because THIS IS THE NOISIEST BAG I HAVE EVER HAD. The two very long, effective velcro strips on the back of the purse flap make it impossible to open without attracting the attention of everybody within a one-mile radius. It is VERY secure and I never worried about anyone ever being able to reach inside of it because of the velcro. However, I was always worried that somebody would be able to just un-latch the GIANT plastic break-away latch on the strap. So, because I have to walk with a white cane because I'm legally blind, and also right handed and navigate with my right hand, the latch was always against my back, right where somebody could have gotten to it and unclasped it, and made off with my bag. So I had to flip it around so that the flap (the velcro-closed, VERY secure flap) was against my body, and that way the latch was against my front instead of on my back. This made getting into the bag completely, 100% impossible, because the flap is as large/long as the bag itself. It is just sort of unwieldy and cumbersome, and not really ideal as an everyday handbag/purse. I can't say enough, again, about the quality of the construction and attention to detail of this bag. No complaints there. It is VERY well made. It's just... not right for me for the aforementioned reasons.

Amazing quality at great price. We use this in the car for our 5 year old’s things. And it’s in all black, great design and well made.
