Helps me sleep
My husband snores and ear plugs don't do enough to keep me from hearing him. I'm a very light sleeper and his snoring keeps me awake. These help me drown out the snoring and other sounds such as barking dogs. The speakers are fairly flat but even so tend to hurt my ears after a bit because I'm a side sleeper. However I still wear them as the benefits outweigh the negative.

So close, yet so far
I'm tempted to give this 4 stars just because it's the only affordable sleep headset I can find that (a) is washable and (b) doesn't chime when it's getting low on batteries (because it's wired), but the execution just isn't good enough for 4 stars unfortunately. My use-case: I watch videos on my laptop next to my bed as I fall asleep on my side. My Apple AirPods weren't great for this because (a) they don't feel comfortable between the ear and pillow, (b) they "chime" when they're about to run out of batteries (which can interrupt sleep), and (c) if you lose them while sleeping and are looking for them in the night, they may be hard to locate until daylight.Pros:- Washable. This is surprisingly hard to find in sleep headphones, but it's important to me since I'll start breaking out if I don't wash the headband occasionally.- Sufficient sound quality. I'm just trying to watch relaxing YouTube videos while falling asleep, so I just need adequate sound quality. These headphones have that.- NO CHIMING when low on battery that wakes you up in the night...because there is no battery (wired). My wife has a headphones headband that is chargeable and that doesn't run out of batteries in the night (and consequently doesn't chime and wake her up), but the headphones are unfortunately sewn into the headband and therefore can't be washed without modifying the stitching.Neutral factors (to me):- Wired, coming out of the back of the headband. It surprised me when I found that this wasn't a significant issue for me. I imagined needing to fight a tangle of strangling wires in the middle of the night or being annoyed by feeling wires on me while trying to sleep, but this hasn't been the case. No doubt at some point I'll wake up to go to the bathroom in the night and forget I'm wired to my laptop though.Cons:- I needed to adjust where the earphones were in the headband to make them cover my ears. They feel like they have a tiny bit of Velcro on them to hold them in place in the headband, which will probably wear out quickly, but I don't think that will be too bad of a problem. I may just need to slightly adjust them before going to bed when the Velcro wears out.- This is the biggest con for me--the shape of the fabric is such that if you have the earphones over your ears, the edge of the band might get in your eyes. I was able to adjust the headphones slightly to make it better, but it's still an annoyance. I might be able to do something about this by tying soft string around the front of the headband to keep the edges away from my eyes (my wife's idea). I won't look very "cool" doing this, but I wasn't winning any style awards with this headband anyways.

Did Not Work Well On Plane :(
I bought these because another reviewer said they were good on a plane. These didn't work well for me while flying.Regular ear buds always fall out of my ears and I spend most of my time pushing them back in, which hurts after a while and takes way too much maintenance to enjoy or relax. Other types of head phones don't fit on my head with my airplane sleep pillow. I thought this headband style would solve both of those problems. These were a total waste of money for my purposes. The speakers are movable inside the headband, so you have to adjust it when you first receive it to place the speakers in the right place for your ears. No problem initially, except that the speakers continue sliding around after you place them. The plane pillow also moves them around when you lean on it. Bad.My biggest disappointment was that the earphones did not in any way block out the plane noise. They rest along the outside surface of your ear and they're a flat disc shape inside the headband, so their shape doesn't conform to the contours of your ear at all. I could barely hear the music unless I put the volume way up and blasted my ears out. If I took the palms of my hands and pushed the speakers against my ears, then I could hear the music by shutting out the surrounding noise. I wasn't going to sit with my hands pressing on my head the whole flight. In addition, the lycra band is loose and slippery, and it moved around on my head as I shifted in my seat. They come with a travel bag, but are not good for air travel. I can't even think of any friends or family I can foist these on. Total waste of money :(Update: Since I didn't get around to writing my review until after the return window had closed on Amazon, the manufacturer contacted me by responding directly to my review and offered a full refund. While phoning Amazon on another matter, their customer service representative told me not to give the manufacturer any of the information they requested about me or my order for a refund, because the headband was sold by Amazon. She then refunded about half of the original amount I paid. I didn't have to ship them back.
