Perfect
Works amazing and is super quick and easy to use, it burns cd but I haven't been able to burn dvd yet but it works perfectly for just watching dvd on. The value for money is top tier and im surprised this wasn't more expensive. It makes a little noise when first starting up or ending the burning process but it's nothing annoying.

It does the job I bought it for!
I bought this so that I could watch Region 1 DVDs on my computer which is something I could do with another DVD player plugged in before I exhausted my quota of changes on it, and I had wondered whether getting a second DVD player and plugging that in might do the trick but wasn't sure and felt uncertain after trying to research the situation on-line and when I had asked someone in HMV for advice I had been interrupted by someone else and hadn't felt that the person I'd spoken to was answering my question in a confident authoritative way or giving the answer I wanted. So I took the risk and what I bought worked for the purpose I'd bought it for, even though it had been pushed through my family's letterbox by the courier and had fallen to the floor, and I have been using it and the other DVD player to watch various DVDs from Region 1 and Region 2 for several weeks now and I am sorry it has taken so long for me to get around to giving this feedback. Sometimes it does make irritating noises and the DVDs sometimes stop or stall, but that happens with the other player and I sometimes wonder whether my own anxieties or having other things I also want to do or write about instead of watching stuff, have been causing a disturbance in the Force, and so perhaps the problem is not with the product I am reviewing but with me or my computer or has some other cause. I am glad I bought it, anyway, and have enjoyed using it, and perhaps I should trust my feelings more often.

Refused to open
I’m not sure if I received a fault one or if it’s just a poor design quality, but the connection to my laptop kept on dropping out, the in/out button refused to work so I couldn’t get any DVDs or CDs into the slot. The cables are short and annoying to use, but that wouldn’t be a massive issue if the thing actually worked.

Instructions for use.
Hey!Firstly, this device is good value for money, but I did find it confusing to use at first as it didn't seem to work with my Apple Mac computer at first and the instructions provided weren't all that clear so just in case someone runs into the same issue I did, I will leave instructions.Anyone who buys this will find that it comes with USB wires-One attached to the device-A separate oneWhen I first tried to use it, I thought the extra wire was just for optional use, but later I realised that BOTH are necessary for the device to work. Just plug the USB wire attached to the device into the computer and the other wire into the device AND into a mains socket. It may seem obvious to some-i must have been having a brain melt!!!!Anyway, all working now. It allows you to choose region setting for dvds and can play and download cd discs-i used it for a language books cd for translation listening exercises to download onto my computer. Thanks!!

Nice little gadget
At first I couldn't get it to work, until I happened to turn it over and found that I'd been using the charging cable, whereas the power lead is actually stored underneath the box, and is attached to the device. I plugged that in, and it worked perfectly. Easy as pie. The lead is short, so you might need to stand the box on something.

Cheap portable DVD reader
Seems to work well. Lots of similar items on sale. But for money and quality, the product does well. Worked instantly.
