I bought this for my pair of Sennheiser HD 558 headphones. I opened them up and removed the locking mechanism so I can use any old 2.5mm cable and decided instead to go with a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter (this one) and then your standard 3.5mm male to male cable to connect my phones to stuff.Pros1. Works at least for audio. I don't use a microphone so if you do, I would defer to other people's reviwes...although some say it does and some say it doesn't so I wish they'd put like the product name of the equipment that does and doesn't work so we'd know.2. The adapter is fairly long which is good for me because the headphone jack is tucked up in my headphones a pretty good ways.3. It's cheap.Cons1. I guess it doesn't work for microphones on some devices.I got this solely for listening to audio and for that purpose, it works great. No troubles, ticks, static, or other audio anomalies (at least so far). I'll update the review if I notice something but otherwise this works fine for me.

Let me start with what I like about this little product; It fits perfectly the m50x interior jack if you remove an internal plastic that locks the original cable. Now what I dont like about this is that if you want to use this adapter to mod your m50x you want to take into consideration finding the right cable, so it doesnt look stupid. If you don't want to deal with modding your m50x, you can just go with a propietary connection cable, you can find them easily. It works the way it was suppose to and on the Turtle Beach was great (until I got a Xbox One version that is 2in long).This was great my only issue was keeping up with it so if your hooking this up to something that doesn't need ANY more room and leaving it then buy this. If you are like me going to use this while gaming or going to an event and want to sound off the noise then go get this that is more like 2in long at least to keep up with it more.Works perfectly and no physical problems or "miss hearing" if that's a word.

Mot much to say. it works.

Doesn't hold a 3.5mm jack in the female side, constantly crackles and doesn't make a good connection for the right channel.All of these seem to be from the same cheap manufacturer, good luck finding one that works.

I bought this to work with my Bose QC25 headphones and the V-MODA BoomPro Gaming, VoIP Headset Headphone with Mic. Long story short, I wanted to give my Bose QC25 headphones a better mic. Imagine, the V-MODA and the Bose QC25. Glorious ideas, no?I'm sure it works well, but it doesn't fit the QC25 port. It's so close to fitting, but I'd rather not risk breaking the headphones for a $30 mic. It's a solid connector, so I'll give it 5 stars, but if you're looking to use the same setup, I recommend finding a thinner connector.

Works great, I use it so that I can plug my ATH M50X into my Xbox controller with a connected mic. The silver cover was loose and slipped off often, but a little hot glue fixed it.
