Why So Expensive?
The paint is good, no complaints. It was 3 times the price of many other 2 oz plastic bottles of acrylic paint. I didn't realize that when I bought it. Later when I ordered some other 2 oz bottles, I saw that many were only a few dollars, for no discernible reason. I don't get it!!

Good Craft and One Stroke Paint
This is a thicker craft paint. It has a lot of pigment compared to cheaper craft paint. It is thicker and while it does have an odor the smell is not strong and goes away after a few minutes. It is good for Tole Painting and One Stroke methods on paper, canvas, glass etc. It is for decorative painting and crafts. As a professional artist I would not use it for major Canvas work. It is a mid grade paint when compared to a student acrylic paint. The variety of colors, ease of use and flow of this bottled paint makes it great for the above mentioned substrates (surfaces). It has good opacity with only a few coats. I bought it specifically for painting on Clay pots.It worked well after sealing the pots inside and out with a clear acrylic sealer. 4 stars because it does have an odor and for those with sensitive lungs, breathing issues I suggest you smell one before investing in a lot of them.

Works well in airbrush (diluted with water)
I used the FolkArt Multi-Surface Lavender to airbrush this sign I made for my wife. I diluted it with water about 75% paint and 25% water so it would spray better. I used a spray-can primer to prep the wood. I really liked the color.

Don't get
It arrived in box that could have held 10 of these bottles with no padding. Must have had a rough transit. When I took it out to look at it, it was clean, but when I raised it to standing position I soon had paint on my hands and clothes from an almost invisible crack on bottom edge of bottle. Didn't wash out of my clothes. Also noticed the bottle was plain, did not have the markings shown on the bottle online. At the very least it should have been in a sealed plastic bag inside the box to protect other packages in shipment. Better yet, it should have had padding inside the box.

Good for interior and exterior
I have used these paints for years. They hold up well outdoors on garden decorations and birdhouse, surviving a number of harsh winters before needing to be re-applied. For indoor art projects, they are very versatile, and can be thinned with water to create a watercolor look or used straight up in paintings and craft projects.

Streaky, slightly see-through
I'm not as much a fan of the "multi-surface paints as I am of the regular line of craft paints. The texture is weird -- sort of slightly glossy, but not truly -- and it lays down streaky and partly see-through. It also takes longer to dry and has an odor. If you don't need this for special surfaces, you will probably be way happier with the regular craft paints.

A wonderful "Barbie Pink"
I love Folk Art for painting my dollhouse and polymer clay sculptures, and this was a wonderful hot pink that I have used to paint wooden dollhouse walls, baked clay pieces, and even a plastic picture frame. Depending on the surface you will need to apply a few layers since this is a thinner paint, but I find that with the right brushes and waiting between painting new layers, you get a brilliant, opaque hot pink.My personal tip for making the surfaces look smoother after applying a few layers of this paint is any matte or glossy varnish, also applied in layers between drying.

love this brand
Perfect. Opaque. Smooth. I love the multisurface so much. I ran out of a cheaper brand of glass paint and I'm so glad I went with this brand as it covered the glass effortlessly. Made up this set of 8 wine glasses using nearly exclusively this brand.

great colour
This is the perfect dioxazine purple shade. Some brands make it way too light/vibrant. Just wish this brand wasn't so expensive in Canada

Salmon colour
It looked like it would be beige, but the paint was pinkish, salmon colour. I dont think ill be using that colour.
