Easy to set up and use. We loved it.

Takes some figuring out. Parts can be loose. Potato stabber comes apart, though I find poking through and using pliers to pull the metal poker all the way through provides a slightly bigger hole which means less bamboo skewer that break off inside your potato (thus ruining it). So maybe it's two-pieces by design? Potato holder can fail. But after trial and error, I figured out a system and I'm good to go. You can slice 1/4" off the end to get a more even grip. (You may as well buy some skewers since it only comes with a dozen or so and most of the ones you see at stores are too thick to work in it.) Kids really like the potatoes with some salt & MSG. The spiralizing is relatively quick once you get good. The frying is the time-consuming part.

Takes 2 people to use this machine and a strong person to stab the potatoes to cut. The concept is awesome, but involves more work than we thought it would. Only used a handful of times and not it sits in a cabinet unused. Would not purchase again.

Easy to use

This item did exactly what it said it would do. The "tornado potato" (spiral) slice is perfect with even, consistent slices. The blue shrink wrap did take about 15 minutes to remove, but it was no big deal overall. The brace that holds the end of the produce did indeed shred a good but, but I simply rotated the potato by hand which was extremely easy to do. The slicer is a nice weight, not flimsy, and did not slip or move around during use. It was quick and easy to clean. I recommend this product after comparing it to a couple of other models which were not nearly as sturdy or efficient.
