Picture misrepresents what you are actually shipped.
The product is a great product I’ve used it many times. The low review is for the misrepresentation of the picture and vague description. In the picture and in the description it seems as though the drain is included. THE DRAIN IS NOT INCLUDED. Neither are the corners for the membrane or the circular membranes for the valve and drain. Since I don’t have time to return it and buy from someone else I’m going to have to go and buy the parts that I thought I was getting with this kit. Like I said no problem with the KERDI system. It’s more about how the seller or amazon should fix the description and pictures to show you what you are actually purchasing.

Seem like a complete kit
Determine the connection type after removing the tub. Mine was abs, so I ordered the abs shower kit. Seem like a complete kit. I went with kerdi board setup, even though there was enough water proofing material to wrap the whole wall if you decided to go with a different material wall. This was a bathtub replacement to shower setup. Just be aware the kit is quite large with the side barrier, needing to break out the jack hammer to relocate the toilet flange 15 or 17in on center. Overall this kit is good so far.

Directions easy to understand
We ordered this kit because the hubs was converting our bathtub in the guest bath to a walk in shower and he was very skeptical about how to do the floor pan. Enter Schluter Kerdi Shower Kit, all skepticism gone. Directions easy to understand, easy to install, our shower conversion is almost done. Did not take as long as we thought it would, probably because of this shower kit. I know this review is not helpful as far as installation details, but the hubs does not do reviews so I must fin for myself (the wife).

Missing parts. Not quite as easy as advertised, waiting to see how it holds up.
My kit was missing the edging tape, luckily that was available locally as I didn't have time to wait for a replacement. There also was not enough material to do shower walls all the way to the ceiling (we were one 8ft section short, so I had to buy an entire roll for that 8ft section. If your tile went up 6 feet you might be able to eek it out if you don't make any mistakes. One kit description listed a piece cut specifically for the floor with the drain pre-cut, my kit did not have that but if it did, that also might have meant I had enough material to do all of the walls.I am somewhat ambivalent about the kit and have some worries that it will fail. I have done one other shower with traditional tileboard (20 years ago and it is not showing any signs of instability) and a tub surround with granite tiles over tileboard (8 years ago, also wearing well). This was my first time however using the Schluter system. Some of the system I liked, the drain system (which was included in the kit) worked well. The gaskets around the shower valve and showerhead pipe were nice as well.It would have been nice to have better written directions instead of watching youtube videos for everything (there were included paper instructions but they left out so very important details). One major question we had was what order to do all the walls, floor, edge sealing, etc. The official video has them doing the walls and then the floor with the edge seal over that, but that it didn't matter what order it was done in. That seemed to violate the flow of water that you usually try to establish when doing flashing or other sealing, and since they said it didn't matter, we did it in the more traditional order from bottome to top so the water doesn't catch an exposed edge and slowly work its way in (water is evil that way)The thing that I liked the least about the system is how it builds up quite think where multiple layers intersect. Leaving two inch overlaps meant that in some complex corners there were 4 layers and with the thickness of the thinset, it built up enough to make it difficult to lay the tile flat. All in all the shower is looking great, but it remains to be seen how durable the product is. Crossing my fingers.
