These saws, with very fine feet saw blades can cut straight down or up and are clamped in this plane, under great tension, in order to work. If you wish to saw in a direction other than vertical then just turn the saw and follow a line or mark on the workpiece. The blades are high tensile steel and, when held in this frame are very taut. Twisting the blade would fracture it or lead to early failure. They can turn corners but excessive twisting could, again, break the blade. For true omnidirectional cutting you should change to a round section file blade. These were once known, because of their manufacturers name, as ABRA saw or ABRA files. This product, when used as a jewellers saw, using a jewellers bench and cutting thin & precious metal will cut everything you want but care must be taken NOT to twist the blade while in use. If the workpiece metal is too hard for the blade then you are either 1; using the wrong material or 2; with certain metals like copper, the material becomes work hardened and should be periodically unsealed. If this term is not familiar to you then you need to get more information before using this tool.

Can it cut fine detail on coins ( around faces).

I've not done it personally but have cut out very fine details like mandala shapes which were cut from copper sheet. The blades are very fine. Hope that helps.

Hello, can it cutmm 2 to 3mm acrylic?

To be honest I'm not sure as I've only ever cut metal with it. I'm not sure how acrylic works when it's being cut.
