Convenient and lasts a long time.
I added a heaping tablespoon of this buttermilk powder to my pancake mix this morning and the pancakes were delicious. I don't use buttermilk often, but when I do, it's right there on the shelf. If I bought fresh, half or more would be spoiled before I used it, probably.

Easy to mix and doesn't need refrigeration
I always had leftover buttermilk when I bought fresh and felt pressured to use it up before it spoiled. This dry powder mixes easily and is handy to keep in the cupboard. I gave it four stars because the package only provides instructions for making a quart. I needed half a cup for a muffin recipe today and had to spend some time figuring out the math for a lesser quantity. If this doesn't present a challenge for you, the product is great?

Best Buttermilk Powder!
I'm a former pro pastry chef, and a lot of my favorite recipes use buttermilk. Because I live in a rural area, it's not always practical to drive 40 minutes to get fresh. It's Just - Powdered Buttermilk works as well as the real thing. It dissolves well and my baked goods always turn out as expected. It's so much better than what you can buy in the baking aisle at the grocery store, and much more economical.

No more spoiled buttermilk because I couldn't use it all in time
The same wonderful Tangy flavor of buttermilk works very same in any recipe as liquid buttermilk use it in anything makes fabulous pancakes I like to use it in cake mixes instead of water or milk. I use it in mashed potatoes, waffles , Use your culinary imagination comparing that it's listening

I Really Like This!
When reconstituted, it smells and looks really creamy and fresh. You can use it by adding the powder to your recipe, or you can reconstitute it and use it that way. It's very easy to only make up exactly the amount you need. The instructions say "1 CUP BUTTERMILK POWDER + 4 CUPS WATER = 1 QUART BUTTERMILK." Therefore, you can cut that down by fourths to make one cup, or cut it down again by fourths to make 1/4 cup.
