I have had many pairs of these shoes in the last 30 years , I don’t think any were this brand, these shoes the rope is different others were hemp still as comfy but smell of cat urine when they get wet is aweful, I washed them in the washer and dried them in the sun, and they were fine... until the next time they got wetThis has never happened to any other pairs I have owned and was so bad the whole house smelt like cats had peed in it, so keep them dry and if you can’t- don't get mad at your cats -check the shoes

As mentioned by other reviewers these sandals can be a bit slippery, but nothing hazardous. The back strap tends to hide lower than I'd like, but never actually slips off.Probably the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn, I gave them +3 on The Green Tailor

I discovered these sandals a couple months ago and really wanted to get a pair. I finally did it and they are super worth it. They are very soft and comfortable. I have skinny feet and ankles and my only worry was that they would fit too loose but you can adjust the ankle strap and make it tighter by pushing it up and making it a bit higher. You can adjust the straps to fit comfortably and feel supported. They look very cool and I feel like I could wear them with so many outfits. This specific style does not have a sole so they are a bit slippery on some surfaces so be aware of that. I’m happy I purchased this pair and I’m gonna get another pair in a different style pretty soon!!

Wonderfully, lovely sandals. I ordered a 37 ( my size 7) perfect fit. I have owned several pairs of rope sandals over the years, both natural and colored. I specifically did a search for "rope sandals" looking for these. I cannot comment on brand as, I have no idea what brand the others were. I recall them lasting a couple summers and the colored ones not fading. I was careful not to constantly get them wet though. I am sure they gained an odor over time but, it isn't the thing that comes to mind. They are very comfortable! I am not a huge fan of shoes in summer. I rotate between these and Birkenstock sandals. ( The fit is similar) I do recommend these if it's what your into or used to. I ordered 2 other pair in Sage green and Black. I am not sure how much brand matters. I would be willing to bet that, I have had both brands that make these sandals with no real noticeable difference between them. My prior experience with comfort and style is why I bought these. For me personally, nothing else matters to me. A person can get 2 summer seasons out of these sandals -if you take care of them! They are much like hemp in the sense that the rope becomes softer over time. Put tape on the bottom if you find they are too slippery. I don't have an issue with this but, I could see how some people possibly would. Lastly, I always washed mine in the sink by hand. Be wise ;) and remember they are rope..

I love these sandals I was hesitant about my size i purchased size 39 I like a tad room in my sandals so my long toes won't be right at the end but I satisfied and will purchase another coloo

I was skeptical, but these are SO comfortable. Don't wear them whenever there's a chance of rain. The least bit of water will soak right up and saturate the sandal really fast. They are also slippery, but probably not any more slippery than sandals that have the smooth, flat, plastic bottoms. I got some floor grime on them once and threw them in the washer / dryer and they came out fine. The ropes do sort of relax a bit after a few weeks of wear. Overall they are really good sandals, more comfortable and durable than I even hoped.
