Review: Potted Calathea Elgergrass plant - good value and very healthy plant. - After being recommended by a family member to this seller, I bought two plants. This plant was delivered well-packaged and covered in polythene to ensure extra security during transit. Upon opening, there were no broken stems and no lost leaves. The plant itself seemed to be perfectly healthy and I love the texture of the leaves and the combination of colours. I left the plant overnight and by morning it had opened up into a gorgeous houseplant alread. This plant needs very little attention, almost wanting to look after itself, but you do need to ensure it never dries out during the spring/summer growing season (but try not to overwater!). Although it is best to only repot in the spring, I will need to repot this in a few days once it has settled down but just in a size larger pot to accommodate the strong root growth that is clearly visible. A lovely plant that looks great already. It will need good light during the day but don't put it close to a window because it doesn't like direct sunlight. Easy to recommend both this plant and the seller, and I shall certainly be looking here again shortly to buy more.

Perfectly packaged and the plants all arrived in perfect condition. Not a damaged leaf or broken stem in sight, not even on the Semperviviums which can have fragile/brittle leaves/offshoots. The compost was just the right side of being dryish, which is perfect for shipping. You don't want tropical plants, with their roots in wet compost, in cold courier depots and vans. The Sempervivium's compost was dry, as it should be. The parcel was dispatched on the day I ordered the plants, and arrived three days early. Result! The plants are exactly as described and illustrated on the sellers pages, and exactly the size stated.The Crocata has beautiful, velvety leaves of deep purple(great band!) with cobalt blue or green tones. The plant arrived with 5 flower spikes, and the deep apricot flowers contrast perfectly with the leaves... gorgeous!. The Eldergreen is equally beautiful with glossy green wavy edged leaves and a purple underside. The chunky little Sempervivium's were five different varieties, all in beautiful condition with loads of offshoots. Excellent value for money, especially with the 10% promo discount. Neither seller nor plants can be faulted.

**Q: Why are some tips of the leaves going brown and should I spray the leaves and how often**
A: Only water when the leaves start to droop. Mine is by a window but not in a room with high humidity. I spray with a fine mist twice weekly. Make sure it isn’t getting direct sun.

**Q: Will this plant be happy in a bathroom**
A: Apart from one or two, most plants are happy in bathrooms because they like the moist atmosphere.  No need to spray!

**Q: What size decorative pot goes with this plant?**
A: I repotted the plant immediately into a 16cm plastic pot then into decorative container. Plant in excellent condition and thriving

**Q: Do the leaves move throughout the day?**
A: The leaves rise at night showing the red underside of the leaves lowering in the day , that's why it's sometimes called Ptayer Plant.
