Uni Filter UP-107 1" Clamp-On Breather

Solved the problem of removing the breather hose after updating the fuel injection on my car. Nice and simple. No bling. Does it’s job.

No check engine light so far. Engine sounds smooth. Final test won’t be for a while which is smog test. This mod is to prevent the OEM sponge filter when degrading in pieces to prevent clogging the secondary air injection pump.

Used this universal filter for our 2021 4runner pump to replace the foam filter before it got to old and disintegrated. Was very easy to install for my purpose if you come across this like I did. Only needed to pop the cap on the pump, remove 1 t25 torx head screw, remove snapped on intake cap and replace with filter in place, and of course remove the factory foam filter that was in okay shape at 5 years old with 76k miles of use. Hope this is helpful for someone debating on doing this to there 5th Gen 4runner

I found out about this after market filter while reviewing some of the Toyota Tacoma forums. The OEM foam filter on my 2015 Tacoma only had 65K on it and was still in good shape. I decided to switch to the UP-107 to be on the safe side in case the foam started to break down later. The swap out is very quick and simple process. The filter appears to be of good quality and got a lot of good reviews. I would expect it to get very dirty based on my type of driving. Should be easy to remove and clean or replace as needed. Just a single worm drive hose clamp.
