This Bible really brought the scriptures to life for me. I've been a long-time reader of the KJV and then the ESV (within recent times). The NLT helped me to re-read things with an easier to understand format. I didn't realize how much I had missed in the Bible until I started reading more and more of the NLT. I love it. I also really appreciate the scholarship that was involved in making it, such as, the choices made here and there regarding the LXX vs the Masoretic Text. Very well done, ladies and gentlemen. Very well done.EDIT: (4 months later) I have to now add that I am also impressed with the quality of the binding and the leather. I have put this bible through the ringer on a daily basis. Despite the constant use (and folding it over on itself) this bible is still in the same shape that it was when I first purchased it. That's quite good craftsmanship.

I’ve been looking for a good and affordable thinline NLT for a while, as much as I love my NLT Study Bible it is heavy to carry around all the time. This is the perfect size to carry with me and bring to church and is the same size basically as my journal.The filament app bonus is great!The leather is clean and the font of the text is a good medium sized font.

I love this Bible . It came on time and well packaged . The box is in perfect condition so I know the Bible is as well . Love this translation too!Easy to read and understand

This Bible is really nice. I was wanting an easier translation than the ESV/NKJV I “prefer” to read, but having young children I don’t have the time to break down the text like I wish I could. So I figured I would try the NLT. Still getting used to the simplicity but I rarely need to read a sentence multiple times to understand which is perfect for my life right now! The Bible itself is holding up well after a month of daily reading and carrying it all around my house with my kids. Very minimal ghosting, the red letter is nice, and the text size it’s manageable. I’m praying I can pass it along to one of my sons in the future.

The media could not be loaded. This is a fantastic Bible. It is priced correctly at $60 and anything less than that would be a steal. The Bible is incredibly well put together, and appears to be quite sturdy.The other point of this Bible is how it ties into the filament Bible app. To that end it does so with aplomb. The app on your phone or tablet is dropdead easy to use and filled with insightful information about whatever page you were looking at in this Bible. It is, in effect, a study Bible without the hassle of carrying around the weight of a study Bible.I cannot recommend this Bible enough. It’s fantastic. Pick one up.

The NLT has been my favorite version for many years. I love it so much that when my current one showed signs of wear I had it recovered. Recently I heard the fascinating story behind its development in an interview with John Oswalt, and I appreciate it even more. This particular version includes the filament which is a nice touch. There is a lot of attention to detail that makes this a great daily use Bible. Love the size, paper quality, and leather.

The leather aspect of the Bible is awesome. One thing I have noticed is that if you underline or highlight, ink bleeds through the other page. If you highlight a lot, I wouldn’t recommend this Bible. You’ll notice what I’m noticing. Out of every Bible I’ve ever owned, this one has the thinnest pages. It’s very nice though.. if you don’t highlight a lot, I’d go ahead and get it.

I started on Genesis and found different things that I didn’t understand from the King James and other versions.

This bible is fantastic, worth every penny. The pages are thin but don’t stick together. The text is a nice standard size. The bible opens comfortably for reading.I’m also getting quite a lot out of the filament app, it adds just that little bit extra depth if I’m feeling like getting deeper.I love the NLT and find it reads really well alongside a NIV.

The Bible is great. The Filament app is great too (although there are theological concerns with The Bible Project and its rejection of the biblical view of penal substitution, which affects the nature of the atonement). But, I just thought that I should point out that this is not a Large Print Bible, but a standard print Bible. My wife has just received the Large Print version in a different colour, and this is definitely not the same size of Bible (3cm shorter) nor size of print on the page. Yet, personally, I prefer this size after all., even though I was expecting a Large Print version.
