A: I would not carry by the handles if the potty is full.

**Q: Is this waterproof? I want to have a way to keep my porta potty covered in my van, in case it leaks. Thanks!**
A: Doubt your Thetford Porta Potti will leak unless you don't use it properly. Like not emptying often. Although I don't think the carrying bag is waterproof it is water resistant and would handle small spills

This is a well made piece of equipment, works, it's easy to use and clean up is not bad. I bought the larger model 365 and it can be a bit heavy when full but it's the model i wanted for its height and am pleased with it.
