It takes 10-12 seconds from turning on, to recording (counted 1-20 when I turned it on to see when it started recording). A standby mode with a button press would be a good option.The attachment to connect to computer is specific to this, so if you damage or lose it you’re in trouble. Again with this price it should have been an all in one with playback as well. Plus someone opened my box it has dirty finger prints and on my instructions there was pen writing correcting the 32GB to 16 GB. Item was on battery was dead.
