Goya Giant White Corn | Maiz Mote Pelado, 14oz Units (Pack of 2)

I have to avoid salt but I like corn nuts, therefore I bought these on Amazon. First let me inform you for these to taste OK you must microwave these, otherwise they are too chewy. Microwaving these makes them puff up, that makes them crunch in your mouth like crackers. To avoid the bland taste of crackers, put a large handful of these giant corn kernels in a ceramic microwavable bowl, squirt liquid butter (fake liquid butter buy in a squeezable bottle) on top. Microwave that for 3 minutes. Then stir the kernels & microwave for 2 more minutes. Then let them cool off. YUMMY addictive! Do not microwave too long; if any kernels turn black, then you microwaved them too long.

I make air-fried corn nut with these. Soak overnight, drain and pat dry, pop in the air fryer with various seasonings, delish!

This corn IS giant. Looks great! But. I soaked it overnight, rinsed and drained, tossed with coconut oil, salt, sugar and baked at 400 for 50 min. tossing every 10. most of the kernels turned a beautiful golden and dark golden brown, so I think I did everything right and according to recipe for making fabulous corn nuts. Many of the nuts were so hard i worried about my 62 year old teeth chipping. And there was too much meat in the centers, i thought, because it was dry and grainy (this is where I think the smaller nuts would work better). They also weren't uniformly crunchy but had wide variations in thick and thinness. the few that really puffed up were probably the best but i didn't like any of them nearly as well as the store bought stuff. Dang it! guess I'll just make pesole with the rest of it. should be amazing.

Great flavor but the kernels are indeed very large.

Maybe it just me; I don't like the taste.

Bought these to make corn nuts, but couldn’t quite get the results I wanted. The price was right, the flavor was ok. I will not try to make corn nuts again.

Love these beans, my mom makes Morocho, (Ecuadorian dish, similar to rice pudding). Absolutely love these, can only get them on Amazom

Received items as ordered. I made air fryer corn nuts with them, and they turned out wonderful. The only issue was the price seemed to be a little on the high side, most likely due to the origin shipping location. The product was promptly delivered and well packaged. Very happy with this purchase.
