Very comfortable, roomy for toes.
I tried on 6 pairs of similar closed toe sandals, looking for a comfortable walking/easy hiking sandal, with the extra protection of a closed toe. I got size 7 in each of the following: Keen Whisper, Keen Newport H2, Teva Walhalla, Teva Omnium, Dannto, and this DreamPair. I really expected to like the more expensive shoes, but I chose the Dream Pair for the following reasons: Easy to put on and take off with the back velcro strap. Nice and roomy for my toes. Back strap does not catch/irritate my ankle bones. If I had any concerns it was with the inside sole which felt a little rough on my soft feet after a winter in socks. I have since worn them several times, and one full day, and am thrilled to say that the sole did not irritate at all. Here are my findings on the other closed toe sandals:Keen Whisper: Difficult to put on with fixed back strap, needing 'finger work'. The back strap touched my outside ankle bone (end of the fibula bone) but was otherwise comfortable. The stippled inside of the sole did not irritate my foot. This shoe is more 'open' and therefore probably cooler than the other shoes I tried. I think this pair was the most attractive of the 6 pairs. Keen Newport H2: I had high hopes for this pair of shoes since it seems to be the standard to which all others are compared. Once again the negative for me was the difficulty in putting them on. They are a much snugger fit than the others, possibly better if climbing over rocks, but I preferred the roomier feel of the DreamPairs. The back strap, like the Whisper, touched my outside ankle bone. The arch support was very obvious. I also found the Newports 'clunky', that is, after putting down my heel, the front of the shoe would 'slap' down - noisy. The Teva Walhallas were easier than the Keens and the Teva Omnium to put on, but didn't have the ease of the velcro strap on the Dream Pairs. Very squeaky walking across Pergo and tile floors, but maybe that's indicative of good grip? They did not irritate my ankle bones. The inside sole was smooth except for a TEVA logo under the heel. This irritated my left foot, leaving an imprint of the logo, but strangely enough did not worry my right foot. The Teva Omnium had a very nice adjustable strap over the top of the foot, and a high instep. I found the inside sole rough on my foot. Although easier to get on than the Keens, it still required 'the finger'! The Dannto had a velcro back strap making it easy to put on and take off, but I found the insole/instep a little high for me. Otherwise it was comfortable, did not touch the ankle bones. Hope this helps you find a comfortable pair of closed toe sandals. I returned all five of the other pairs after my in house trial.

Comfortable Right Out of The Box!!
Was looking for a comfortable pair of hiking sandals for short walks around the neighborhood or around a nearby park/lake. First I bought a pair of Keen's as they seem to be the gold standard for this type of shoe. After many attempts to adjust the bungee cords on the Keens for a better fit, they were still extremely stiff (made to last forever under extreme walking and weather conditions, I guess...) and my ankles ached after a short 1 mile walk. I continued my search and came across these Dream Pairs Outdoors Sandals. They were pretty - in a homely kind of way - and had great reviews. After today's arrival, I immediately took them out of the box and put them on. I made no adjustments and walked out the front door for a 1.5 mile walk. There was no stress anywhere and my feet were happy! To be honest, I'm not sure trying to tighten or loosen the bungee cord would really matter, as the loops they are thread through are sewn to the body of the shoe. The elastic of the body of the shoe is kinda fixed. When ordering I looked at the Size Chart and ordered a 9.5 based on their recommendation. I haven't worn a size 9.5 shoe in decades, I'm a true 10 or 10.5 (when available). But I trusted the chart and went for it. My foot is exactly 10.5 inches from toe to heel which in this particular shoe is a 9.5. Measure YOUR foot and order accordingly! The arch support is minimal, but I would live my life never wearing shoes if I could, so lacking arch support really doesn't bother me. The material the shoe is constructed with is fairly soft and did not rub or irritate my feet anywhere! Technically these are fisherman's sandals so they are waterproof. I will be hiking in the Seattle area next month so I won't have to worry about walking through small streams and getting my shoes wet! The foot bed extends noticeably beyond the shoe straps all around the shoe. Interesting design; it gives the shoe a larger footprint and better footing on uneven rocky surfaces. The sole is thick and sturdy, and comfortable against a bare foot on the inside. Fortunately for me, my pinky toes don't pop out the sides, they are supported and protected. Probably the only thing I don't care for is the velcro on the heel strap fits perfectly against itself with no over hang, so it takes an extra moment to separate the two halves for removal. Not a deal breaker by any means, especially for the reasonable price tag. I can buy 3 pairs of these in different colors for the price of one pair of Keens!! Walk Happy and Stay Healthy!!

Made the right choice!
I didn't want to spend a ton on hiking sandals so I gave these a go. Wore them on a 7 mile hike with several water crossings. I don't think a more expensive shoe would have been any better. They were kcomfortable, and didn't hurt my feet at any point. I was also pleased that they did not get "sloshy" once they were wet. They felt a little wide on my medium width feet but were easily tighted up. Otherwise they are true to size.

Wide toe box, great support, lighter, more comfortable & way more affordable than Keen's.
I have short wide feet w/high arches & instep (I wear 7's-8.5's depending on shoe/sandal). I usually wear Reef, Croc, Teva or Keen Sandals.Bought DreamPair 160912-W sandals, one in Grey/Pink & one in Purple just recently. These will replace a pair of Keen Whisper (my 96yr old mother loves hers) & a pair of Keen Newport H2 (has a wider toe box than the Whisper, with look & fit very similar to Dreampair 160912-W sandals).Keen's Newport H2 were a bit more comfortable then the Whisper's, but both felt very heavy & for some reason both Keen's shape & weight on the foot produced knee pain while walking or hiking. Same thing happens w/certain types of fins I've bought for scuba diving. The Dreampair sandals are MUCH lighter than Keen's & offer greater support (than that of Reef, Croc, Teva, instep/arch, heel cushion, don't crowd toes or pinch across toe-base or arch/top of foot, easy on & off & no knee pain (unlike that of Keen's).Dreampair are great when wet providing good grip (unlike slippery Crocs or Reefs), they also drain & dry quickly. I just bought my second Dreampair for a variety in colors. I hope this helps you, good luck & enjoy.

Love them
I bought these sandals for walking. I usually do a 30 min walk. I wondered how sore my feet would be after the first time walking in them, as most shoes/sandals need breaking in. These were comfortable right from the first walk. No breaking in necessary. They are light, airy and comfortable for walking and good value for the money. Would purchase again or recommend to others.

Comfortable
Easy to adjust and comfortable to wear. I wore them for work short and the kept my feet cool and very comfortabLe. So I decided to wear them on a long while . By the end of the day I had two ten pence size blisters on my feet under my big toe. Not sure if this was due to the amount of walking I did that day as it was considerably much more than normal. Or that the shoe was badly fitting me. Don't think I'll be using them again for long walks. I'll keep them for short term use only. As they are in fact very comfortabLe. No good for story beaches as people's had a field day finding hiding places under my feet. 😁. Overall good solid hard wearing shoe.

Molto comode
