Great, even with problem feet
I wear a true size 9, have flat feet and bunions, and I often return footwear. These are keepers. I really like the wider toe box, and they are overall comfortable. Haven't fully broken the boots in, but I comfortably achieved nearly three hours of city walking and some dancing at a recent festival. I love the distressed look. I feel the value is good, and Roper is a reputable name in boots. Easy to pull off my feet, I didn't need help as I sometimes do LOL.

Super cute but run a tad small.
I love these but have trouble getting my arch and heel through the first part of the boot. Difficult to put on. Once they are on, they are a little tight. I usually wear 9M but will try a 9.5M or a 9W.

Just what I wanted but...
I needed these boots for work trimming heavy brush and trees and ordered a size up so they would be easy on and off, and the size is perfect. There is only one very serious problem and that is the slick soles. They caused me to slip and slide around even in the very rough environment of leaves and limbs to the extent that I almost fell a few times. I can't think of any way to "roughen" these soles and have no idea why any style of boot would have these slick soles. They surely would be dangerous on carpeting, etc.

I really love these, but....
Absolutely love these, love the overall look. They are just as pictured with the "worn" look. I have no idea what to tell everyone about going with your true size or not, lol. I will explain my experience. I am always a 9. Always. Doesn't matter if it's boots, sneakers, sandals, etc. These arrived and the right one went on with the typical new-cowboy-boot slight struggle, then felt perfect once on. The left one wouldn't go on at all, didn't want to go past my heel, no matter what I did. It was as if the part of the boot that begins right at the low ankle was fashioned too tightly? I even put on a nylon knee-high sock to try to make my foot "slippery" enough to go in. Nope. So I ordered a replacement size 9 and held my breath, thinking maybe I got a pair where the left one was simply a lemon. That did the trick, I received them, and although still snug going on, with the nylon sock both went on fine. I can say the size 9.5 would have been too big, because once on, they fit like a new cowboy boot should: a tiny bit tight but FIT. They will stretch a bit. So I wouldn't necessarily say go UP a size, just wanted to explain my experience. LOVE them though!!UPDATE: replacement pair was perfect, went over my heel and ankle just fine so I am assuming I just got a lemon pair....don't hesitate, these are super cute!!! :-)

Exactly like the photos
Exactly like the photos or better! I was nervous about the mixed reviews, but these are worth the money! Opened the box and was instantly in love with the look. Put them on and they fit perfect. So they are true to size. I'm an 8, and I ordered an 8. They were not hard to get on, and were not tight on my toes. Wore them all night at the bar line dancing and were super comfy. They will be my go to boots and will buy them in brown in the future!

Easily torn
After wearing these twice, the leather loop to pull them on ripped off

Had to have these !
Already broken in, soft, and ready to wear. Real leather. Authentic look. WWill probably last for years, as I only plan to wear them for rodeo shows, line dancing and similar functions. Obviously not for writing horses, or working on the farm, but for the rest of us, these are perfect little boots. And they didn't hurt my feet at all!

Size up and they're perfect
Bought these on a whim with pretty low expectations along with another pair of boots. Both were ordered in my normal size. The other brand came and fir great. These not so much, the taper at the ankle is pretty tight so my foot might have fit but I couldn't get my foot into the boot. I were a size 7.5 or 8 typically. I ended up returning the first pair and repurchased sizing up. The larger size ot perfect. The boots are super cute comfortable to wear day to day. My feet are squeezed or squished in these but they still feel secure and supportive. Just make sure to size up!

not great quality
So these boots are very cute, they are tight in the toe but not any more than expected. I did need to buy a shoe horn to get one of the boots on as the ankle was so stiff but it loosened up after a couple wears. I really liked the boots look and I wore them for full days of walking and dancing at the calgary stampede and my feet only hurt minimally, so in that regard I highly recommend. What bums me out is just how cheaply they are made for the price. The heel appears glued on and not well at that. The loops at the top of the ankle seem like they will break if pulled on at all. I would honestly return them however based on wearing them twice I am confident they would be thrown in the landfill and I would hate to see that happen.
