Simple. Quick.

I have this new stuff that has two parts, like epoxy, and it requires half a minute to do its thing once combined and half a minute to use. What a pain to keep track of! I don't wear a watch around the house, and staring at a second hand is no fun anyway. Nothing to prompt me to keep a watch or clock with it, anyway. My eye spied a little "egg" timer sand glass and I thought a 30-second one would be perfect. So I found this one on a brief Amazon search. Sold! Works perfectly. Frees me up to do something else during the half minute of waiting. Seeing the sand glass sitting there also reminds me to use the stuff. Great all around. So simple.

Perfect little timer for my PT exercises.

I ordered this because I specifically needed a 30 second timer in my bathroom for when I use mouthwash. This seemed cheap and perfect, but it’s NOT a 30 second timer. It took 1 minute and 4 seconds for the sand to run down. Disappointed that it was described inaccurately.

There really is not much to this product but it does exactly what I wanted it for and it works reliably. I have not timed it but I suspect it is close.

It would be kind of silly to expect a highly accurate timer for this price, and you do get what you paid for. As others have noted, this supposed 30-second timer can be far off - mine takes just shy of one minute for all the sand to pass through - so it's really good only as a toy, for amusement, or for instructional purposes. I got it hoping I could use it to time espresso shots, but I was willing to lose the small price if it wasn't useful for that - and it isn't.

Came with a slight defect, but works fine. So who cares?

I got this for my friend, who had cancer and was part of a clinical study. He had to rinse the experimental drug in his mouth for 30 seconds, then wait for 15 minutes and then rinse again for 30 seconds. This timer made it easier to do all the things the study required. Thank you.
