Exceptional quality and authentic test!
Top-notch Quality and Real Deal Taste Alright, so I've tried a bunch of different olive oils over the years, but seriously, the Lyrakis Family Classic Extra Virgin Olive Oil? It's on another level. The first thing that hits you is that genuine flavor. It's got that super fresh, rich taste you only get from really good Greek olives. It just feels so pure and natural, making it awesome for anything from just drizzling on a fresh salad to putting the finishing touches on cooked meals. You can totally tell it's jam-packed with flavonols (those are the good-for-you antioxidants!), which gives it that distinct healthy boost and smooth finish. It's definitely way better than your average supermarket stuff. If you're hunting for a real, cold-extracted olive oil that's big on both health perks and amazing taste, I totally recommend this one.

A very good olive oil
This olive oil is great. Extra virgin oil and first cold press helps to create very delicious meals that are healthy. A great price and quick delivery. A very good product.

New harvest bottled March 2026 comparison Vs Italian lab tested EVOO bottled Nov 2025.
I always have a monthly supply of Extra Virgin Olive Oil on subscription. I've tried a few different growers over the years, this one and the GARCÍA DE LA CRUZ (Spanish) are both equally as good as each other. Genuine EVOO direct from their groves and of good quality. I use it for cooking baking etc but.... I do buy an Organic Italian EVOO online direct from a farm. That is used for dressing etc. It's unfiltered and third party tested for the Polyphenol content, you get the report when you buy their EVOO. So I thought I would compare the 2 oils to see what you're getting at the basic end compared to one at double the price. Although I say basic the Lyrakis EVOO and other online growers do offer a far superior product compared to the supermarket options. I would class those as very poor quality unless you're paying a very high premium. I also note that you should make sure any EVOO you buy is from the most recent harvest, they have a 2 year expiry on so you can tell when it was Harvested. Harvest is from October onwards depending on the olive variety, so as of May 2026 if it has an expiry date for 2026 or early 2027 you will know that it's been sat on a shelf 12+months, which is too long and you should buy a different one. Some people say that for the best EVOO you should opt for a single olive variety, but combining different varieties just gives different flavour profiles, so don't trouble yourself with this. The peppery kick in EVOO is from a compound called oleocanthal. Along with the many other compounds found in EVOO it has been shown to reduce inflammation and fight free radical damage. It gives that peppy kick and is found more in good quality EVOO and in the earliest harvest. This compound degrades quite quickly, EVOO doesn't get better with age. From 6-18 months the oils will loose a significant amount of their many beneficial compounds through oxidation. Hence why you should get it as fresh as you can. 2025/26 looks to have been a difficult year for growers and the polyphenol content is lower than previous years. (2024/25 +600mg) (2025/26 348mg) for my lab tested EVOO. The comparison: Both state they are from the early harvest, I know full well that my Italian EVOO is bottled early, I get it delivered in January and it's already lab tested. The Lyrakis EVOO expiry is 30/03/2028 so it was bottles March 2026. The Lyrakis looks lighter and much clearer. The Italian one is unfiltered and cloudy. The smells are very similar but the Lyrakis fails this year to have a strong fruity or grassy taste. It's there but it's just not as vibrant especially when I compare it to my Italian one. When it comes to that peppery kick, the Lyrakis does have a kick but it's subtle. My Italian EVOO gives a pleasant flavour then the oleocanthal hits your throat and you can't but cough from the pepperiness, it remains as a lasting kick for some time. Obviously I've drunk them straight, which unless you're unhinged or want to do a taste test comparison....or both, you wouldn't do. It's not a glass of wine, it's for cooking and dressing and it’s a bit like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Nissan. Both do the same job but one does it better than the other at a cost. So when it comes the recommending the Lyrakis EVOO....At the price it's definitely a good option. I won't be using it on salads and think i'l try the GARCÍA DE LA CRUZ EVOO also. If you have money to burn and want to cook with a better quality EVOO, go ahead and search online for the many Lab tested options. Though I feel it's definitely worth seeking out a quality EVOO for dressing, when it comes to cooking you can't go wrong with the Lyrakis Family Extra Virgiin Olive Oil but it’s still a Nissan not a Rolls. I hope you found this helpful

Smooth and full of fresh flavour.
I have been using this Lyrakis Family Olive Oil for a little while now, and it’s honestly one of the nicest olive oils I’ve tried. You can really tell it’s high-quality and freshly pressed, it has that rich, smooth taste with just a hint of pepperiness that good Greek olive oil is known for. It’s perfect for drizzling over salads, dipping bread and it adds such a lovely depth of flavour to everything. The fact that it’s cold-pressed and made from handpicked olives really shows in the quality. It feels pure and fresh, and a little goes a long way. I also like that it comes in a large 5L tin, which makes it great value for the quality you’re getting, especially if you use olive oil regularly like I do.

Very Nice and the quality is constant. Would recommend.
After some research to find proper Olive Oil, I decided on this brand, It is now the only one I use. Not to strong tasting and even less when cooking with it, I also haven't noticed any change in the flavour of my recipes.

Seems to be helping somewhat with inflammation but start off with just one tablespoon or less at first!
