This is my rats’ favorite hammock. I have 3 hammocks in their cage plus a pod they put paper in and they prefer to snuggle up in this one most of the time. I would definitely purchase it again.

To be fair here, I didn't realize it was meant for sugar gliders. I bought this for my ferrets, and let's just say both ends poke out when they use it. However, I plan on buying more of these to sew together to make a beautiful hanging bunker bed.Edited to add: They sewed together beautifully, and my ferrets love them. They now get to sleep together without feeling overcrowded.

This is the second one we've ordered- our 4 juvenile female ratties love this hammock. Yes, they do chew on it a bit (which is to be expected), but that's not why we bought a second one. The first is actually holding up rather well. We bought the second so that we can simply swap it during cleaning time while the other is in the wash. Plenty of room in the hammock for the girls at this age- they will probably spread out a bit more as they grow to full size. Most of the time they all snuggle on one level, but occasionally a tift will drive one to seek refuge on their own level of the hammock- but I suppose living with 3 sisters will do that!!

Lasted about a week before the lil guys chewed one of the hangers off. Super nice and comfy for them however the build durability is completely non existent. Until they make the hangs more durable I would not recommend buying this unless you are prepared to fix it yourself. It's also not the easiest to spot clean, the fabric just likes to hold onto food crumbs and other unfavorable waste and even though it says machine safe I am highly suspect of that claim. Overall this is a decent hammock and would be great if it was just simply made with better quality.

I put this into an enclosure for three small female rats. After initially sleeping on the top of it, they eventually figured out the inside was far better suited for sleeping.While I cannot personally speak to the warmth of it, the girls (Stormy and Snowball shown in 2nd photo; Charlotte was being a diva) think it does the job quite well. They abandoned their cardboard box pretty quickly in favor of this.Revised my rating from four to two stars— two of the very thin fabric loops for the metal attachment clips (1st photo) have now ripped in half.Honestly, I’ve acquired a better quality item for a lower price at a local pet store with far more durable attachment points and plastic hardware. This is now just a backup.

This is very well made and I'd highly recommend it if you have hamsters or young ratties, but I took off one star from the rating because the top hammock portion is a little small for my adult female ratties and it's definitely too small for my big boys - it's smaller than a typical ratty hammock. The holes for going inside of the underside are just big enough for my girls to fit through, but only one adult can fit in there at a time. I'd be afraid that boys would get stuck trying to get through the holes to the underside and hang themselves, so unfortunately only my youngsters can use it. But it's well made, the fabric is thick and soft and the inside is plush.The straps are made of ribbon, so if you sew, you might want to take those out and replace them with little chains instead, as I'm sure they'd be chewed through quickly. That seems to be the only material flaw though.All in all, a good purchase for a hamster parent, a ratty rescue or a ratty parent who has youngsters, but if you have standard sized adult males, this probably isn't the one for you. A female could fit on top, but it's a snug fit up there. Like I said, it's put together really well, so I'd say it's worth buying.**Btw, in the photos, it's not a trick of perception - the hammock is literally just a couple of inches under the toilet paper roll/My hand. It really is that size.

First the positives. My rats loved this for 48 hours. It is super soft, easy to clean if it would have lasted that long. Bright colors, and 3 different levels for plenty 9f places to hide and sleep. The problem with this hammock is the 4 corner hanging lines are not metal and even though my rats loved this for 2 days they chewed through the hanging supports in one night. If you have rats or any other small animal that likes to chew I would not recommend this. If it had metal hanging support lines it would be much better for the chewing small pets.

I have rats and one of them loves to chew things. The straps on these are really thin and were easily chewed through. Other thicker straps last much longer with her.If you have a chewer, i'd stay away unless you want to rig it up with better support.Otherwise, this thing is great! It's super soft. The middle and bottom parts are a bit loose for the liking of my adults, but the babies like it. And it seems to repel the moisture fairly well by what i've found from the occasional dropping (see also babies)

Sugar gliders loved it. As advertised.
