Very good

Outstanding colour and depth. Changed plane pine into rich dark walnut with one coat. Applied a second and it just got better. Finish is matt but can buff to a soft sheen. Migjt want to wax or oil over if you want to shine it up. Thrilled as nothing else I looked at got the walnut colour anything like as close as this.

It is great quality and value for money. The tin lid has a screw lock type mechanism so it will hold its quality for a long time. It was my first time using it so I think I perhaps applied a little too much so I used a linen square to wipe the residue once it was mostly dry and it left a beautiful finish.

Wouldn't set. Dried patchy. When it did finally set it was sticky, dull and useless. Took it off with white spirit, sanded it back, re stained and used a hard waxoil from a local professional kitchen/worktop supplier. Cost me money and a lot of extra work.

Very good for my dark wood work tops

I read the reviews and it seemed that it would be a good product. I ordered the dark walnut for my worktops. I'm not pleased with the finish. Very matte. It also didnt say in the product description on here that it took 72 hours (3 days!) To dry and you had to wait a month between coats. Not ideal and really wished I hadent bothered. It leaves really dark residue too that stains literally everything. Nightmare. It is a very little pot, but only upside is, it does go far.

The Walnut version of this product clearly has issues with drying time and failure to cure. I wish I’d checked the reviews for this specific colour before purchasing. Having treated a kitchen counter top I’m left with much of it wet and the remainder like loosely applied boot polish over a day later. I’m going to have to strip the lot off and re-coat with a better product

This stuff looks good and was easy to apply BUT please take the caution warning seriously! We added another coat to the butcher block bar in our new home (we haven't even moved in yet) and then threw the rag away in a nearby bathroom trash can and left for the night. When we came back the next day, the entire house smelled like fire. When we went down to the basement we found the trash can where we threw the rag away totally incinerated and our brand new vanity, vinyl laminate flooring and the nearby wall were all severely burned and need to be replaced. The fire was already out when we got there and the damage was limited to a small area thankfully but it could have been SO much worse! We could have lost our new home before getting a chance to even live there. Please use caution with this product ⚠️

I have a traditional maple butcher block peninsula with the yellowish tones. It was fine until I changed the floor. I have been trying to find something food-safe to tone down the yellow for a few years. This was exactly the product I needed. I used the organic white and it gave a perfect whitewashed look. I am so pleased. It was easy to apply, only the faintest scent, and created a good protective finish when dry. Of all my recently finished home improvement projects, I am enjoying this one most!

Awesome product...

It’s a one star for thickness because it was not designed to be thick. However it came in earlier than expected which is great!! I put it on today and waiting for it to dry. The directions say use a paint brush or a roller I did a roller.. now if you want the grain to show through then use a rag to put on the butcher block
