This chair works amazingly well! Most massage chairs are too gentle and can't really get into the problem areas on my back. This chair is the first one I've tried that has enough pressure to be effective. Even compared to the giant pod-like chairs that cost at least double this one, I'd say it does a better job. The massage rollers go high enough to massage my neck too, which is great. The calf massage isn't adjustable in width, so if you have skinny legs, it may not provide much of a leg massage. (Don't skip leg day) My only complaint is that reclining and raising the footrest feels pretty slow, and the massagers stop while you're adjusting it. It's a minor annoyance though, and does not affect my overall rating of this awesome machine!

I have a sharper image Ijoy for many years. Thought it was the most slick, modern, effective massage chair I ever come across. Boy, am I happily surprise that this human touch massage chair easily match my ijoy, if not better. I bought this for my elderly father. The chair is modern and stylish and fits into his modern apt decor. Faux leather is thick and frame is sturdy. Chair comes with a leg rest that massages too. The kneading mode in the back is very firm, and gets into the muscles. There’s also heat that helps relax the back. Chair is heavy material but light enough to move around without being too cumbersome. My dad loves it, and so do all his guests. When we pop in to visit him, everyone take turn on this chair. It’s one of my Best Buy and I highly recommend it.

This chair lasted less than 3 months. Today it is a nonfunctional chair with the massage head stuck halfway through its travel making it uncomfortable to even sit in. It will not move at all. I have contacted the manufacturer and sent them all requested info including serial number and receipt. A week later and no word from them. BEWARE

We have a couple of massage chairs, 1 of the pods that is great for massages but uncomfortable to sit in and an older version of this Human Touch chair which gives a decent massage and again not very comfortable to sit in. This 7.1 version is replacing a 3rd massage chair from Lane with Human Touch massage that is falling apart after 17 years of constant use. We loved the Lane chair for its comfort but couldn't find anything that comfortable with a decent massaging mechanism (meaning rollers not just air puffs). This 7.1 chair is more like a firm car seat than a comfort recliner. With that said, it fits us pretty well. It is more comfortable than the older version of the same chair (and the pod chair) but nothing like the lane recliner. Overall, we decided to keep it because the massage function is great and it is comfortable enough. I just wished something similar to the Lane with Human Touch mechanism was still available.

It’s a nice enough chair, but it has two peculiarities which makes it only an ok chair especially at that price: 1. The rollers protrude more and quite aggressively about halfway up the back, so it pushes you out of the chair, and makes it impossible to relax with your head on the pillow. This is weird and uncomfortable and jarring, especially when reclined. I now avoid massages in the reclined position and never fully relax but instead sit upright, which is a shame because the reclining was a major reason I got this chair. 2. The rollers barely touch at the power back, no mater how I set it, it either stops short of the lower back or the rollers recede into the chair. As someone with a cranky lower back it makes the massage unsatisfying. Another smaller complaint is that it is difficult to get the neck massage to work, with the pillow on it can’t get to your neck but with the pillow off the angle is uncomfortable, especially with the aggressive pushing out of the chair mentioned above. Also, and I don’t know if this was in part because of the aggressive package handling by the delivery people, the chair is slightly crooked which is annoying. Other than that it is nice, lots of variation, the convertible leg area is nice, the leg massage is nice, the heat is soothing, it looks like a piece of furniture. If it was a cheaper chair I could forgive the flaws

This was a very good purchase. I was leery about spending this much for a chair without at least trying it, but it appears well made, and the massage function is very strong. I also appreciated it areived a week earlier than expected, underpromised and overdelivered! Only 3 warnings (which don't detract from my 5-star rating): (1) the controls are a little confusing until you're used to them, (2) it's primarily a massage chair rather than a recliner, there are probably more comfortable options if all you want is to recline, and (3) the shipping company wasn't very helpful when delivering. I'd highly recommend the chair.

Have wanted a massage chair for years since an old one I inherited died. Wanted a simple chair with heat that just did the back. I did not want all the extra massage areas the new HUGE chairs now have. This chair is comfortable and fits in better with my decor. Does a great job with enough massage choices. Especially like the preset choices. The heat works really well, almost too warm, have to turn it off sometimes. The calf massage is better than my previous chair. This chair would fit an average size person, might not be long enough for a tall person. I am 5'6" and it is perfect.

Chair was easy to assemble and light -- but that's about all I liked. Leg rest massager too tight for our calves and barely moves upward (stays way to low to offer any benefits). Roller back massage - so so. No air bags in seat. Small chinzy arm rests uncomfortable. My conclusion - go spend about 1/2 on a cheap China full massage chair and you'll be more satisfied. Did not care for this chair at all - despite some good reviews.
