For this, it works perfectly. I spent most of my time using this saw. It cut through red oak (medium-hard wood) like butter and left beautiful "custom boat" edges. If someone stole it tomorrow, I'd buy two more and hide the other so I wouldn't be without one.Note: Use a sturdy workbench to cut on or the saw jumps crazy.
