LavaLock Thermo Blanket for WSM 18.5 Weber Smokey Mountain Insulation Cover

Worth the price. Smoked a 5lbs pork butt in 30's degree temps. Filled charcoal chamber 3/4 full with Kingsford Blue. 8 hours cook with smoker temps between 225-250. When finished still had about 1/5 of the coals unlit. Temps were steady throughout.

Doesn’t fit 18.5 in Weber. We had to fit a slit up the whole length to get it on. It does keep the smoker well insulated

I got this item as a gift recently, and I'm in love with it. It fits over my 18.5" WSM like a glove. It doesn't help as much as I thought it would with the wind, but it really helped with insulation and keeping my temps consistent. I wish I would have mms fade this purchase a while ago. The only downside is that it needs button holes on the sides to thread my thermometer probes. In current state, I have to thread the chords for my wireless thermometer through the top Erich ends up shortening the length on some already short cords. Otherwise, this thing would be perfect!I used it this weekend during the crazy winter storm in the Midwest where the outside temp was -2 (F). There's a noticeable difference between my fuel consumption with and without it in winter weather. I went through about 1/4 less fuel than I thought I would with its use. I'm excited to try it out in the summer to see if it will help control lower temps better in direct Sun. Hoping the grey color of it is able to reflect a,lot of the extra heat from the sun and keep the smoker cooler.
