Perfectly sized, weighted, and balanced axis-lock knife. Chef's kiss!
Incredible knife. Well constructed, beautiful finish, sturdy, and assembled with care. The weight and balance of the blade is perfect - you can snap it open with just a flick of the wrist, where it locks into place with the axis-lock mechanism. Then, you can utilize that to close the knife with one hand, as opposed to the lunacy of getting a knife with a liner lock, where you have to put your flesh in the path of the blade's path to close it. Awesome pocket clip on this thing too. Why pay two or even three hundred dollars for a brand known for being made on a "bench" when you can get one of these? Great value too - for about a tenth or an eighth of the price, this knife is every bit as good. It comes super sharp right out of the box. It's also the perfect size for carrying clipped to your pocket without it pulling your pants down because it's so heavy. I am deeply impressed with NedFoss, and I plan to explore the rest of the catalog.

Good knife 🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸
Cool folder 👍🏻. Blade is very sharp. Handle is big enough and comfortable in my 2xl hands. Very smooth flip action and there’s no wiggle in the blade. Nicely built. Good looking knife too.

Great Quality and Pretty Too
I LOVE this knife! The quality’s great and it flicks open super smoothly! It feels comfortable in my hand and it’s not too heavy or too light. It came pretty sharp too although I’ll probably sharpen it myself at some point. The design on the knife is painted on nicely and doesn’t look cheap. It has a nice clip on it so I can attach it to my pants too. It wasn’t super expensive which I greatly appreciate! Would definitely buy from Ned Foss again!!

Solid, excellent action
The blade is stable when locked, very thick at the back, and has a keen edge. We'll see how it holds up over time, but so far so good. The frame/handle itself looks somewhat thin, but the plates that reinforce is show it's pretty durable. Could be a bit thicker for a "beast" but it's still comfortable in-hand. The action is where this thing really shines: the flip action is VERY good, and never fails to lock into the frame lock when I open it. The sheer heft of the blade works in favor of any easy opening, as the inertia just carries it straight on open. Excellent action. Note: I did have to adjust the frame lock a bit. It wasn't closing enough for my liking, so the blade rocked ever so slightly once opened. Adjusting the frame lock was a quick and simple fix, and I've since tightened the pivot a tad, and the action is still phenomenal. The ONLY bit that is a bit annoying is the shape of the frame by the frame lock. It's a very good right angle - such a perfect right angle that it's sharp. Sometimes when pushing down the frame lock, my thumb will get caught between the frame lock and the edge of the frame. I've gotten a few shallow slices on my thumb from this. I'll have to take it apart and file that part of the frame down a bit, to eliminate that sharp angle. That's the only but that I didn't like. All in all, it feels like a quality knife with a long blade at a great price.

I really enjoy carrying this thing!
This knife is awesome considering the price. Purchased the heavy duty D2 blade. Here some facts about my experience. THE BLADE- Is very thick, I measured the thickness at .160" as advertised. With .040" thickness directly behind the edge, which is fairly thick behind the edge. Very sharp out the box. Given the thickness behind the edge it is not the type of knife to grab and cut through paper easily. It does slice nicely through paper if you puncture it first and not try and catch it. Harpoon blade shape is money! Also ZERO blade play on lock up. I bought a Demko Shark Cub once, just to have to buy extra parts to eliminate the blade play. Crazy, considering this $40 knife came to me dialed in! BLADE MATERIAL - Is D2. I really like most tool steals, especially D2. When properly hardened it is awesome. Like any other high carbon tool steel it can and will rust if you don't take care of it. If you take care of it, then this is a steal at the price. Handle - very comfortable with or without a pocket clip! I do wish they offered a different colors and or patterns for the g10. This faux blackwood is not much my style. They are however though, very grippy on wet and oily hands. Not the best grip I've felt with oiled hands but still easy to use in less than optimal circumstances. THE ACTION- Very nice. Nice click when blade locks. Detent is good. Very smooth and requires two hands to open if not using the back flipper. I don't ever see how this blade might accidentally be deployed in my pocket. THE LOCK- This is a liner lock. It is a good liner lock, but still a liner lock. I have added pictures showing you the that it makes full contact with the tang of the blade. The Knife's Linet Lock did not fail with half a dozen consecutive spine wack, good ones too they were loud. The liner lock is very accessible as you can see from my video manipulating blade one handed opening and closing. POCKET CLIP- Amazing! I can say I wish my Cold Steel Recon 1 clip as nice as this one. Edit "added" - I often forget about lefties as I am right handed. But this pocket clip is right handed TIP UP only carry. I do not have a preference for tip up or tip down so non issue for me. If this matters to you, you should know. I have tried hard the past few months to find a preference between tip up and tip down and haven't. All of my Military 2 Spydercos are set with tip down carry. I haven't bothered to change those tip up. SIZE - SIZE MATTERS, regardless of what she told you. This knife is awesome little over 9" overall. This has comfortably been edc'd for weeks now. In some of my jeans I can fit this in my 5th pockets (not all of them) without issue. I think the size is spot on. For this perspective I am 6' 3". If you are 5' 5" this may not be your cup of tee, and there is nothing wrong with that. I won't carry a knife if it isn't comfortable in my big hands. USAGE- I have used this knife to THOROUGHLY break down any and all boxes into as small of pieces as I can lol, it's fun. I have opted to carry this lately over my buster fg civivi and the cold steel recon one. I like the heft that comes with this Ned Foss knife . There is a lot of stuff on YouTube about this knife, some even bad things. None of the earlier complaintsabout this knife were experienced by me, I would definitely let you guys know. Another guy on YouTube even cut wood up with this knife malleting the knife at the weakest point. I can save you 30min and tell you this knife failed long after many other more expensive knives would have, it was impressive for having especially having a liner lock. I do not recommend anyone use a folder to chop wood lol, but man if your going to, I will watch it. NEGATIVES- I do not like T6 body screws, just about every knife maker uses them, I prefer T8 at a minimum, remember size matters regardless of what she told you. I didn't like the faux wood. The liner lock might be a negative for even me many times a deal breaker, not in this case they nailed it! I saw reviews from years ago when spine backs maybe not half as hard as I did caused failure and even cuts. This is nothing like that it holds better than the few liner locks I've had in my life WOULD I BUY THIS OR ANY OTHET NED FOSS AGAIN? Absolutely. I didn't even mention the best part, the price. This knife after all said and done was less than $40! When I'm allowed to buy another knife, one if not more of them will be from this brand! Its going to be while before I am aloud to show any knife around here, I know some of you will understand this lol. I was really digging the Cougar model the have and really wish I could get my hands on that, my girl would kill me if I bought another knife so soon....I am excited to one day check out more of their knives and let you guys know my experience. I will be going through and reviewing all the knives I have bought here on Amazon within the next few weeks. Ned Foss is a brand I hope to have more of them in my collection very soon.

NedFoss Beast folding knife
This folder is of good quality, easy flip to open and has a sharpened edge right out of the box. I especially like that the blade is a little longer (around 4”) than typical folders and the grip is also a good length. Quality construction and at a great price.

Excellent overall quality and price.
This is the third Netfoss knife I purched. I previously purchased the Swan model which I love. This is the Beast, bigger, solidly built, excellent fit and finish, and it cuts paper out of the box. For the cost, this is a real winner, better built that many more expensive knives.

NedFoss Beast delivers!
TL;DR: Outstanding strength, durability, and edge retention. Absolutely worth it. NedFoss makes seriously high quality knives, and this one has proven itself over time. I accidentally dropped it outside while doing yard work and didn’t recover it for nearly five months. When I finally found it, there wasn’t a single issue, no rust problems, no damage, nothing. It was still solid and ready to work. I’ve also dropped it onto my driveway while working on my solar panels (yes… from the roof). No chips, no cracks, no edge damage. This knife is built tough. Edge retention is excellent. I give it a light sharpening every couple of months, but honestly, it doesn’t demand frequent maintenance like many other pocket knives I’ve owned. It holds an edge exceptionally well. It’s not a small knife, but that’s part of its strength. It feels substantial, dependable, and performs great across a wide range of projects. If you’re looking for a durable, hard use blade that actually lives up to its claims, this one delivers.
