Want a real review here ya go!
People will complain about anything. The perfect product they’re looking for they can’t even afford if it existed. First thing, this product WORKS isn’t that the end goal? If you want a true blue conditioner that actually works at diminishing brassy tones in darker hair then it’s going to have some dyes in it and thus is won’t be a perfectly creamy conditioner. This conditioner is thick and it stays in your hair while you do other things and works well. I even heard someone say “greasy” residue... huh?! I’ve used this stuff for years, you might want to check your shampoo not cleaning out your natural hair grease. I used to use blue conditioners that never worked because the bottom line is if you want it to work you’ll compromise some on the texture and fragrance of the conditioner itself, you can’t add blue dye to something and expect it to look the same or function the same as what it was before. The reason the other brands don’t work is because there isn’t enough blue, they are afraid you’ll complain the conditioning itself to make your hair silky and smooth, isn’t working. If the blue part didn’t work well you’d leave a review saying it didn’t work. You can’t HAVE IT BOTH WAYS if it’s less blue it’s more silky because less harsh chemicals, did you honestly think you were going to tone your hair with blue dye and it not be bad for your hair lol?! And yea it’s a little messy but it doesn’t stain assuming you don’t flail around like a crazy person whilst applying said beauty products in shower. So that leads me to my next point, does the conditioning work well? Probably may as well as you’d hope, but the blue part does. I use a leave in regardless so I’m good. It’s a ten miracle leave in potion... Anyhow I’ve never found a blue conditioner that works this well period. Nothing else works better, don’t believe me try it...

Redken
It’s great at moisturizing and keeps hair soft. The scent is good too… but the blue dye does get everywhere in your shower so be careful! The blue does come right out tho!

It worked! But it's drying.
What happened to my hair before I bought this: I have naturally wavy, ASHY, medium-dark brown hair. Haven't colored it in over ten years, but some greys were popping up, so I thought, what the hell, it's been a while, let's try some color! And so I had a balayage and root touch-up done. The balayage was *supposed* to be a lighter brown, and the root touch-up was *supposed* to match my very cool toned hair. Ahem. The balayage took as a dark strawberry blonde, and the root touch up turned out auburn. I was not happy with that, went back to the salon, they tried to fix the root touch up with a cool ash, and it looked good when I left--or at least wasn't so auburn........a few washes later and my hair had a lot of red tones showing up, and clashed terribly with my natural coloring. I mean, the hair ITSELF looked ok, but it didn't look good on ME, if that made sense. Why I bought this particular product: I read through many reviews of other similar products (e.g. Matrix, Joico, etc.) and settled on this one since it was meant specifically for people who had naturally brunette hair and needed to cancel out warm orange tones. This product is also meant for any of us who meet that criteria and also had balayage done.I bought the shampoo AND the conditioner. My experience with this product: based on what people said about it dying their hands and a Smurf massacre in the shower, I was very apprehensive about application. I was also a little nervous that the blonder parts of the balayage would look green or blue post-application. HOWEVER--* I wore gloves and didn't have any issues with the product dying my hands blue.* I only had a very few blue spots on my shower liners and a few spots on the tiles that I wiped off right away while I was waiting for the product to do its thing. I believe this is because I angled the shower head directly to my head and leaned my head back under the water while I was rinsing, so everything pretty much went directly down the drain and not all over the damn place. I was relieved.RESULTS: Fine! There is still an undertone of red here and there, but most of the orange is canceled out. The blonder parts of the balayage are NOT blue or green...but they do look blonder/brighter. My hair DOES feel quite dry, though, in spite of using the conditioner. To combat that, the next time I wash my hair, I'll just use my usual stuff and let the conditioner stay on for longer and use some leave-in conditioner on the ends, too. No biggie.

It works!
I recently stripped my hair of the box color I had been using for years and my dark brown hair was left with a sad brassy tint. I gave the Redken blue shampoo and conditioner a try and noticed a difference in just two washes! My hair looks so much warmer and it is soft and shiny. So glad I found this product!

Great for brunettes with blonde or light brown ombre or highlights
Totally what I was looking for to get the brassiness out of my hair. Dark brown to Blonde ombre.Be sure to rinse your hands thoroughly after shampooing and after conditioning because it will stain your hands. I use it ever other hair wash day.

Very messy since it is blue dye!
This review is for Redken Color Extend Brownlights Blue Conditioner | Hair Toner For Natural & Color-Treated Brunettes | Tones Hair & Removes Brass. I have mixed feelings about this conditioner. I am a natural brunette and I lighten my hair so I have different tones of brown in my hair. I honestly can't tell if this conditioner does anything for the color of my hair compared to others. I do think this makes a mess. The blue dye is just a pain and it makes a mess in the shower! You need to clean the shower after you use it. Honestly I don't think this is worth the mess it makes since I am not noticing a difference.

Works!
Yes it makes a mess, yes the process is lengthy. Yes it is expensive. But this beats going to a salon during a worldwide pandemic. This works. Just get it. Bonus, the scent is wonderful!

Stick to something less toxic
this product gave me a rash every time I used it, but it was too late to return. The scent alone made me sick and my body responded by breaking out in a rash. Way too harsh and it didn’t even work.

Gets rid of the brassy tone after the first use.
Got rid of the brassy tone in my hair after the first use, was really surprised with the results. Smells very nice as well. Will get quite a lot of uses with it even though the bottle looks small , and I have long hair. A little pricey but worth the money to get rid of that brassy tone.

USE it and bye bye uneven-colour/dull brassy hair
BEST EVER!!!I have never been happy enough with my shampoos till I discovered REDKEN brown highlights.People may think brunettes camouflage brassiness bc of the dark hue but I colour hair at home and this shampoo conditioner duo can evened the colour, hair shine put in a selfie paparazzi mode and smoothened out every little strand on my mane.

Stains nails
I’m a brunette with red undertones in my hair that I was hoping to tone down. After trying various other shampoos I decided to try one of the higher end versions as a final attempt to do this via shampoo/conditioner. I bought the shampoo and conditioner and used them both. Not only does it not do anything, this product stained my nails and it looked pretty gross lol.
