Love it & the quality is excellent!
I got this to amplify the sound on my chrome book when I was using it to stream TV while walking on my treadmill. LOVE IT! It's PERFECT. I was shocked at the volume and quality of sound this speaker has for how small it is. I took it outside with me while swimming in the pool and it was perfect. I could hear it clearly from one end of the pool to the other (mid-size in ground pool w/waterfall noise) and it sounded great. Previously I'd bring my Alexa (the big one-- Echo Plus I think it is) outside & plug it in which was kind of a pain. This speaker Bluetooths right to my phone and the sound is very comparable to what I get from the Alexa. COMPLETELY HAPPY! I got this inexpensively on a whim when it popped up as a lightning deal on my Amazon homepage ($10 or $11 I think). I was so happy with it, it made my husband want one too. When I went to order his, the DOSS was no longer on sale and pricier than I had anticipated ($20-30 depending on color) so I searched around for something comparable that was cheaper. I ordered him the MUVE Acoustics APlus mini speaker ($14). His just arrived and we put them side by side to see who's was better. I was certain the DOSS would be. To my surprise, the MUVE was a little louder and bassier. Not dramatically, but a little. Like if the MUVE scored a 10 in sound quality/volume, the DOSS would be a 9. Keep in mind we just got it so IDK how the MUVE's life/reliability is--it could go kaput tomorrow. I also still like the DOSS better for my purposes and depending on what you're looking for you might too. The DOSS is much smaller/more portable which I like. It also seems MUCH more durable. The grating over the DOSS speakers is really solid and appears to be made of metal. The MUVE is cheaper plastic and when I press on it with my finger it depresses easily. If I took it out hiking, treated it roughly or dropped or sat on it I could easily break the plastic over the speakers. I feel like I could throw the DOSS out a 3rd story window & it would probably be fine. Aesthetically the DOSS just looks better too; the MUVE looks like a cheap hunk of plastic. The DOSS also can easily slip into a pocket while the MUVE, depending on the pocket either wouldn't quite fit or if it did, it would be more bulky & uncomfortable. The DOSS is heavier like it has some substance where the MUVE is light as a feather which isn't usually a sign of quality in electronics. The DOSS has a few other plusses--water resistant which is important to me. It also has SD card capability (which I'll prob never use but for some people that's a plus). Both have mic for Bluetooth calls neither of which I've used. Overall even tho the DOSS is a few bucks more ($7 if you get one of the less expensive colors) and the sound isn't *quite* as good as the other--for me, I prefer the DOSS. The sound is still AMAZING and blew me away. I don't understand how something this small can sound THAT good! Also the durability/quality (I'm constantly dropping things & I don't think the plastic over the MUVE speaker would survive my clumsy a$$!), water resistance, and aesthetics/look make me prefer the DOSS. Completely worth the extra $7 and negligible difference in bass/volume for me.

WOW!!!! Powerful clear sound from such a small speaker
I already own a Doss Soundbox XL which in my opinion is the best multi driver wireless speaker with a dedicated subwoofer under $100. I was wanting a small “pocketable” speaker and saw this newly released Doss Genie so I thought I’d give it a try. WOW!!!! My first impression was wow, what a small box. Then after opening the box I was like WOW, this speaker is very small which is perfect for my “pocketable” need. Then I turned it on, synced it with my iPhone and started playing tunes. Many, many tunes. WOW!!!! This speaker is amazing for its size! It has bass and yet mids and highs have clarity. Then when I use a 3 band equalizer on my phone to slightly enhance bass and more treble this speaker really shines. The grills on the front and back are metal giving the speaker some nice weight. The packaging, included wires, instruction manual and lanyard are of high quality as well. Fantastic job to Doss. I’ve now ordered a second one. Note: the song in the video is a 320kbps MP3 stored on the inserted micro SD card, so that's the sound with no EQ adjustment. Recorded using an iPhone Xs Max at only 720p 30 fps and then Amazon compresses the video. If you think the speaker sounds good in the video, wait until you hear it in person. I also found a perfect case to fit the Doss Genie and it’s cables: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07118F7G2

Good purchase
I got this for my 1 year old who loves music and would always carry around my small portable speaker. This speaker is perfect for her. It is tiny to me but the perfect size and weight for her. The sound quality is clear. If you are looking for bass in this speaker, you are looking at the wrong speaker. The music sounds good but doesn't have a deeper bass sound. The volume is great. It can get really loud...a lot louder than I thought it would go. The range from phone to speaker is pretty far without it breaking up. It was easy to connect to the speaker from the phone. The battery life is really good. Overall, I think it was a great buy.

Must Buy
I love this speaker its so cute and compact it fits right in my purse. I have a beats pill as well (the bass and quality on there is obviously better but this definitely keeps up with the competitors) but not great for traveling. I added a string so it can hang from my wrist. I can also clip it on to my Camelpak when hiking. I went hiking on a full charge (was using for 6 hours) and came home able to use it longer on the same charge. I've only used it in the bluetooth mode so far but it appears you can do an aux set up and memory card. Pros: - great sound quality for the price - perfect for on the go - easy to pair - charges pretty quickly and lasts about a day of continuous music Cons: cant think of any? Sand got in some of the little holes last beach trip but I just turned the music up and the vibrations knocked the sand right out. :) could have also bown air.

Great little speaker
Sound isn’t too shabby considering size and price, obviously if you want something that packs more of a punch you will have to up your budget but it’s decent as is. perfect for moving it around the house/outside with you to do chores, take showers, (not actually IN the shower however lol) etc. Battery life has actually exceeded my expectations, I’ve had it for a few months and use it a lot and have only had to charge it a handful of times. I can get several hours easily out of one charge. Next time it needs a charge I will try and time how many I can get exactly and revise my review. Color choice is a great bonus. Has an attached protective cover over the charging port which is another bonus. Seems well made and sturdy.
